room needed some updates plus dog issue

Pros: size of room, free breakfast, wifi and parking
Cons: noise transference from hallway into room - doors let in a lot of sound; and have a night or dimmer in the bathroom!
Location: restaurants over a block away but nearby, close access to hwy 285
The room was decent sized, the mattress OK but not great with pillows either lumpy or too hard, so seemed to need a little updating. The lights in the bathroom are incredibly bright - 3 separate fixtures- and either all on or all off so not too pleasant in the middle of the night! The heater was a little noisy when shutting off and on. Breakfast is pretty good - multiple options although only hot item was waffle maker. Our biggest issue was with the guest across the hall who had a dog - which they did not disclose at check in we discovered - they had left behind in the room and went out for the evening into the wee hours as it was New Year's eve. The dog whined, cried and scratched at the door for over 4 hours! I had reported it around 9 pm, then again at midnight. The owner must have arrived after that point as the dog quieted down and we could sleep. The hotel apologized for the inconvenience - I was not sure they had actually contacted the owner as they said they would or if the owner was just non-responsive. They credited 50% of our room rate for the night which left me feeling positive about the experience overall.

Decent hotel close to family, but not the best

Pros: It was close to where we needed to be. The front desk clerk was very friendly and the lobby was clean and cheerful with access to coffee and tea.
Cons: New doors on the bathroom that have a lock. Exhaust fans also.
Location: There were plenty of restaurants and gas stations. Everything you would need was close by. Easy access to the freeway.
The staff at the front desk was friendly and welcoming! She was the best thing about the experience! The beds were only full size and I prefer queens. The mattresses appeared in good condition, but were saggy in the middle and I awoke each day with a back ache. The bathroom had no fan, double doors that had a 1 inch gap and no lock. You could see through them providing no privacy and a toilet that wouldn't flush properly, so you had to flush several times! We did have to request a plunger on our last night there! That was embarrassing! It was brought up to us immediately, but we still had trouble the next morning! Overall, the bathroom was the biggest disappointment of the stay. The freeway noise was also kind of loud, but I guess there's nothing anyone could do about that.

Front desk wasn't polite at all. Sad to say , but my family and friends won't be staying there again.

Right off of HWY 285

Pros: It is close to swedish Hospital.
This LaQuinta has been remodeled and is nice. The lobby was open and modern. I had one of the nnewly remodeled rooms and it was comfortable. It was clean, quiet, and fresh.

Very nice staff, very clean, good amenities, and right next to the interstate! I recommend to anyone.

Wonderful staff

This La Quinta has been newly renovated and offers comfort and a fresh, contemporary look throughout. Easy to find from 285, it was still quiet without any street noice. The front desk person we dealt with was amazing. Always cheerful, helpful and a joy to deal with. Will definitely stay here again.

Just ok but really, no coffee pot in room?

Cons: Coffee pot in room.
The room was clean, but I had an old refrigerator and microwave in a cabinet which were plugged in and newer appliances just sitting on the floor unplugged. There was NO coffee pot in the room although that is was is noted on line. The place was ok, but I’d look for another option next time.
