Bed Bug Found, Manager Barely Cares

I arrived on May 18th 2017 around 3:30pm. I checked the bed for bed bugs and everything looked good. The mattress even had a protective cover on it. When I was ready to sleep at 3am, I moved the sheets around and saw something move. Of course it was a bed bug. I smashed it with a tissue and put it in a plastic clear cup and covered the top. It was still alive just moving around on the tissue. I sent a pic to my exterminator friend who confirmed. I brought it to the front desk and asked for a refund as I was leaving immediately. They told me i had to talk to the manager who would not be in until 7am. I waited about 4 more hours still having not slept to show the same thing to the manager. She was surprised and confused and said she would file an incident report. She was ready for me to leave without giving me any kind of document acknowledging this situation. I asked her for a note for my records and she gave me one. I contacted Hotels.com to follow up and they connected with the hotel and told me the hotel is willing to make things better and gave me a gentleman's name to contact at the front desk. All that man said to me was to call back on Monday, as there is no manager there on the weekend. That doesn't seem right to me but ok. I have video and pics that unfortunately can't be posted here of the bug. Be careful with your rooms, check everything around and on the bed to make sure nothing is waiting to jump on you. I will never come back here again.

Great stay for the price!

I was pleasantly surprised by this stay. I came into town on short notice for interviews, and even though it's quite close to the airport, found the area to be very calm and quiet. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant and the rooms clean and comfortable. The one downside is getting to the hotel- you can only get there going south on Lindbergh Avenue, and it's not well marked so if you miss it, you have to loop back around and try again.

Close to airport.

Needed to stay in St Louis for one night to catch a flight...Extended Stay was convenient to a restaurant and offered shuttle service. Clean and friendly, will definitely stay again.

One More Time!

Great place. With me and my friends in town for the last FIRST robotics competition we had everything we needed from the hotel. I actually made a mistake and checked in early and the desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating through the whole process. Sadly it will probably be our last time there.

just fine for the price

This hotel is just fine for the price. A lot of airline pilots and flight attendants who are new hires and are in training stay here for several months at a time. It is safe, clean and the staff is friendly.

Horrendous stay and accusation!

This was one of the worst experiences ever when dealing with a hotel. This property will single you out! If you decide to leave the property for either dinner, work, or anything personal beware that you might comeback to you being kicked out for smoking. I DON'T SMOKE! And this properties Assistant Manager Jamie took it upon herself to accuse me of smoking in my room while I was not even in my room while I was out to dinner. Further, they charged me $250 for supposedly smoking in my room! Again, I DON'T SMOKE! Which further makes me question how they came to determine this while I was out. Upon my return to my room my key didn't work and then I was told I was kicked out for smoking in my room. I am adding images of how it looks when you are humiliated by being wrongfully accused, and then they have the local law enforcement come kick you out because you asked the question - "How did you come to the determination that I was smoking in my room while I was out to dinner?" Obviously they went into my room while I was out to dinner which should be a red flag for anyone considering to stay here. They never gave me a straight answer on how they determined I was smoking in my room while I was at dinner. BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN CHECKING INTO THIS HOTEL! They will charge you for the night, and charge you for the $250 smoking charge to your card on file. As you could see in other reviews, this hotel has the local law enforcement frequent the property. Horrible experience!

Great stay for a cheap price

Our room was big and very clean. It was cheaper then some of the "cheaper stay hotels " like motel 6. Full size fridge, stove, and microwave in room. they also have free airport shuttle service.
