Good value for the money. Bring your own shampoo. They provide soap, minimum number of towels. Room was clean. Area was OK.

it was an awesome experience considering the amount of money paid for the accommodation.

Better than expected!

Reading other reviews made me skeptical about staying here, and leery about how my wife would feel about it, but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The only downside was how long we had to wait for a room. Check-in time is 3PM, and we arrived after 7, and there was no room ready. Now it was an unusual situation, as the place was fully booked (the night before the 8-21-2017 solar eclipse), and they probably have never been fully booked before. So the cleaning staff was doing their best, but it took a long time (to get a non-smoking room, smoking rooms had opened up earlier). The young guy behind the desk was doing his best, with things that were out of his control, and staying calm. We got our room around 8:30PM, and it was pretty good. The tub was kind of old, and some of the tile grout surrounding the tub could use a good Tilex cleaning, or replacement. The rest of the room looked like it was pretty new, and we had a comfortable night. As far as the location, their northside of I-270 spot is pretty good. My wife was pretty scared when we pulled off I-170 onto Hanley, and stopped at a Mobile station for gas (a few blocks south of the motel). The characters hanging around there made it clear you probably didn't want to stop there at night (why do they even bother to put on pants if they're going to wear them below their butt?). My advice, wait until you get north of I-270 to stop, there is a gas station right by the motel, on the corner of Dunn and Hanley.
