Nice intentions but poor execution.

Nice friendly staff. Clean room but cold. One of the heaters did not work and the bedding and pillows were inadequate. No remote for television which kept turning itself off. Continental breakfast poor and only provisions for 2 people although three people staying in the family room.

breakfast offering

Posted Mar 23, 2017
This place needs to deal with breakfast you can't charge b n b rates & offer a pack of cerial and make people believe a continental breakfast is available and only from 9am in the week when everyone working won't be able to attend. I did attend at 9 and no continental available. Given a menus PRICE LIST for cooked breakfast - no pc misleading re what you pay and get around anything warm for breakfast food drink etc making overall pricing expensive.

Great rooms and restaurant in a lovely setting.

A really nice pub/restaurant with rooms in a building across the car park (motel style), continental breakfast included and eaten in the room although cooked option available but later around 9am for an extra charge. Big comfortable room. Staff very welcoming and friendly felt like they all had passion for the place. Perfect setting and near motorway.

Great breakfast, but only served from 9am onwards

Posted Aug 9, 2016 on Hotels
The breakfast was fantastic in the morning, but it isnt served until 9am which was a problem for my son who was staying over with us for the night as he had to be at the training ground in Wigan for 8, although they did give a breakfast hamper that included cereal, fruit, orange juice and a muffin. Hotel was attached to a pub, more like motel, but great place if a little uncared for...

Lovely rooms, disappointing services,

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Location and the room itself was above expectations. Good to have a fridge in room also.
Cons: Get the internet working and ensure rooms serviced daily. Look for the cobwebs above eye level!
Location: Very pretty location next to the canal.
Room and venue, lovely. Staff I encountered as helpful as they could be. Down side was no internet access for entire stay (4 nights) and room not serviced at all.

Nice location

Posted Jun 26, 2016
Pros: Location and food were good
Cons: Just a small adjustment to cleaning and customer service would improve rating considerably
Staff were all friendly (some more than others) room was only visited once in 3 night stay one bin emptied. The breakfast menu is non existent (well what do you want is the menu) Wi-Fi useless. Pub not cleared properly at night so chose your breakfast table carefully. These are relatively minor things so don't be put off, overall its a good place to stay.

Hotel was very nice and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast times may need to be looked at as no breakfast was served until 9am
