Hotel was full of rowdy football teams which they knew about because one of the catering staff warned us. We are elderly and disabled and asked for a quiet room but could not sleep for noise until early hours and then again slamming doors at 6am! We came home after the first night having booked for two nights. Management were aware as they said the hotel was full with these teams and we have asked for a fully refund for Sunday night as we left noon Saturday.

Accessible for Liverpool and Preston areas. Professional and pleasant staff Bedroom very comfortable. Breakfast catered more for the full English ,though excellent croissants, I would have liked to see a bowl of fresh fruit salad or even a banana. Excellent coffee

the staff were lovely, really helpful and polite. the property was clean but does need a bit of TLC, as looking a bit worn, e.g. lampshade very tatty. food was good and again staff looking after meals/breakfast really friendly, polite and helpful. would definitely stay again

Freezing cold room (was given plug-in heater which did nothing). Watered down orange juice for breakfast. Wouldn’t print invoice as I'd booked through expedia despite this never being a problem at exact same hotel before. Never staying here again (roughly 6 business stays a year they'll be missing out on).

Good location… But….
Room was clean. However the sofa bed was pretty poor. Certainly wouldn’t be any good for an adult. Tv shelf loose and looked ready to fall off the wall, same with the broken / loose light underneath. Shower gel couldn’t be used as it’s locked in some weird shower gel prison. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Cold bacon, apples that were clearly weeks old as the skin was soft & wrinkly. A large jar of Nutella with a filthy chocolate spread covered lid - not appealing. Great location. Just a little tired looking and breakfast needs a look at

We stayed for a couple of nights recently, on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member at reception, she gave us sound advice re onward travel, thank you. We were allocated room 17, big spacious with a shower, unfortunately there was a musty smell lingering, I thought it might have been dust etc from the a/c heating system but I came to the conclusion that the sofa and carpet could have done with a deep clean. It didn't put us off our stay, location was great, right off the m6 motorway

Lovely stay (despite the fire alarm going off at 6.30am) larger rooms than some of the other holiday inn express offerings which was a pleasant surprise. Ideally located for the M6. Bit on the pricey side - please dont inflate prices too much

Fire alarm at 6am with no apologie from staff at any point. Cold shower as it the hotel had no hot water. Then to top it off breakfast was terribly dry due to being under a heat lamp for way too long. Wont be stayed again

Room assigned had aircon not working and we needed to relocate.It seemed to be an issue with reception staff who said premises were full!!? It didn’t seem THAT FULL to me ! On the day we returned after a full day touring the room was not serviced.Even though we told cleaner in the morning we had vacated and room was ready to be cleaned,etc. Even though it was sorted out with reception staff I was still disappointed.Breakfast was good but coffee was pretty poor.
