Used as a stopover after a weddingPosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: A great price for what we needed
Location: very handy for Forrest Hills
We didn't get chance to use all the facilities that are available as we were only here for one night. The rooms are large and clean, plenty of space in the bathroom too. The bed was huge and very comfy, and the coffee/tea facilities were a welcome benefit. The grounds looked pleasant but again we didn't take full advantage of them.

Elegant hotel in nice settingPosted Jul 17, 2015
From our arrival to checking out we were impressed with the high standard of customer care from all the staff, whether in the restaurant or the reception desk, they were attentive without being intrusive. We had a meal in the restaurant on two nights of our three night stay and on both occasions we were delighted with the variety and quality of the food. We would definitely go again and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Quiet hotel close to University of LancasterPosted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: We liked the cleanliness and bedding in the hotel.
Cons: We stayed when the weather was hot and one night we could not have the window open so a fan would have been nice.
Location: The front of the hotel over looked beautiful countryside, it is next to the University of Lancaster , close to Lancaster City .
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Although in places the hotel is beginning to look a little worn our stay was comfortable and very pleasant . The hotel itself was quiet and I can honestly say that the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We used the pool and hot tub which were both very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will probably use the hotel again.

Good hotel and excellent breakfastPosted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Comfortable , clean , well appointed rooms ,good food and a friendly welcome.
Cons: Noisy mixer taps .
Location: Situated right next to Lancaster University - some distance from the city centre .
We only stayed one night in room 9 on a bed and breakfast basis but thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The room was well appointed , the huge bed very comfortable ,very helpful and friendly staff and a delicious breakfast . Our only criticism was the loud noise that radiated from the mixer tap on the basin in the bathroom . We could also hear the same noise when the facilities were used in the room next door .A problem that must be addressed as it interrupted our sleep .

A little bit of luxuryPosted Jun 9, 2015
We stayed for an overnight and we're not disappointed. Ore room was lovely, comfortable and quite airy. The blackout curtains were a fabulous touch especially with the lighter nights. The pool and spa facilities were a great addition and were very relaxing to use especially later in the evening. We only ate breakfast in the hotel however this was very lovely and plentiful with a number of options available. Staff who we spoke to were friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

The beds are really comfortable. Bar food and service very good. In the leisure centre only one female member of staff welcomed me with a smile and pleasant greeting.

Lancaster House - good choicePosted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
Didn't know the area and chose Lancaster as a good place to have a few days on the way to Scotland. The hotel is easy to find from junction 33 of the M6, has plenty of parking and the food is good. We would recommend a visit, while you are there,to Morecombe Bay for a walk along the coastal path.
