Business but a pleasurePosted May 11, 2015 on Hotels
Nice location for solo travellers, restuarant on site is extermely good as is the breakfasts on offer and the service is to match. Have stayed here a couple of times, only down side this stay was the room location which was a the top of the stairs and over looking the hotel entrance and car park, could hear everyone walking back and forth to their rooms and felt like I was being watched from outside, net or partial wiondows would be good, I like to sleep with window open for fresh air but felt I couldn't due to noise. But don't let this put you off this is a very nice hotel in a lovely location

Hmmmmmm. say no more.Posted Jan 20, 2015 on Hotels
All I can say is. I booked online through hotels.com then 2 hrs later I get a phone call from the hotel telling me that the price I paid was wrong it should be more as a single supplement and it will cost more. It not a single there's two of us. Well that's not my problem you take it up with who ever put the price on hotels.com not me. We agree on a price over the phone a little more than I paid on the web site. Fair enough. When we arrive I'm questioned again by reception telling me that hotels.com are wrong with the price again. Fine not my problem. I'm not interested I want a room that I've paid for. Upon getting the room which was lovely until I opened the blind I'm above the kitchen with the kitchen extractor pipe running just below the bedroom window. My view was a rendered wall and an aluminium industrial kitchen extractor pipe. Not very scenic at all, and they wanted more money for the room. Good job I didn't pay full price.

Pros: It was conveniently located for where we were attending a function.
Cons: The odour in the corridor needs resolving and the floorboards require attention.
Location: Research the Fylde Coast it has lots to offer.
We arrived in the early evening and checked in with a very pleasant member of staff on the reception. We were given the keys to room 3 which was along a short corridor. The corridor had a very unpleasant odour which we assumed was coming through an open window. My wife thought the smell may have been from the kitchen below. Fortunately the odour did not carry into the room. The room was small and slightly dated with unbelievably creaky floorboards but as we were only staying for one night it was not going to be an issue. As we were going out for the evening we did not require use of the restaurant but we had a drink in the lounge whilst we ordered a taxi. The following morning after a reasonable nights sleep we went to the restaurant for breakfast unfortunately the odour was still present in the corridor which quashed the cooking theory unless someone had ordered sprouts for breakfast. Breakfast was acceptable, the only criticism was the toast arriving before the hot food which meant it went cold. We stay in a variety of hotels throughout the year both on business and pleasure. This hotel is neither in the modern category or the quaint category or historically appealing.

Lovely viewsPosted Dec 27, 2014
We booked a family room, which was very nice and large for Christmas Day night, which included breakfast. Just a couple of things that let it down - two towels for a family of four, no toiletries and the two children were on a sofa bed. Breakfast was very good and staff lovely. Hotel and room nice and warm and clean. Check in had to be before 5pm and last breakfast was at 930am and check out at 10am. I thought this very early for a holiday day. Overall good, I would go back.

We traveled from Wiltshire to attend a wedding and asked if we could book in before 11 am. The hotel tried to accommodate us however as the previous guests had yet to check out we were offered an alternative room. For myself the mattress and pillows were perfect which is a rarity in many hotels.

Great spot!Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels
Great food in the bar and restaurant and the breakfast is good to. Good atmosphere generally and the staff are pleasant. I've stayed a number of times this year and always enjoyed my stay so would generally always go back. Lovely in the summer especially.

Top hotel, great foodPosted Oct 29, 2014
The hotel is only 20 mins from Blackpool. We stayed there when we saw the illuminations. Great food, newly furnished. Friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Location!Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Breakfast smoked haddock was simply delicious!
Cons: More professionalism required. We had to wait ages at reception to be checked in and the food at breakfast was top class, the service needs to improve
Location: Very rural location. Short drive to Fleetwood and Blackpool. Will return for a river walk
Great location and wonderful food. Room spacious and very clean.
