Friendly hotel for older people. Nice views.

Posted May 22, 2017
Room was on top floor nice and quiet. Bed mattress springs made noises and although sheets were clean overall bed & bed linen was poor. Room had a window looking at the side of another building. Bathroom was a nice size. Overall the Room was clean but in need of a total modernisation. Breakfast good. Pool looked nice but cannot comment didn't get chance to use it. Hotel a good 20minute walk from town centre not ideal late at night. Downstairs ok but upstairs needs updating. Parking good plenty of room. Better suited to older people.

Problem hotel

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: Position
Cons: As above stated
Location: Good location
The hotel was dated needs a refurbish ,the noise from the kitchen extractor fan kept us awake Late at night and early morning.Lack of sleep spoiled our stay there, also the lift was very cramped when taking our bags up to the room.

Pros: the location
Cons: some of the staff .I think the bad ones get away with a lot because the rest are very good
Location: excellent
kept running out of things ie butter at breakfast cider and beer in the bar at bad attitude from some members of staff though not all some did try very hard the management need to sort the wheat from the chaff

Dated but very nice

Posted May 8, 2017
This hotel is very dated but nice. The staff were all excellent and a credit to the staff. We had large family room (3 children & 2 adults ) out of the 4 beds 3 were fairly good but one of the singles was terrible . Breakfast was good but not excellent. Would recommend this hotel reservably to others.

Convenient Location Close to the Beach

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: Good location and very helpful staff. Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The staircases were tight, but not much could be done about that. Maybe a more effective lift?
Location: Location is great as it is right by the beach. Also very close to Royal Lytham and St Annes golf club and other local courses. RSPB reserve is nearby.
This hotel has a good location near the beach and local golf courses, and the staff were very helpful. Everything was very clean in the room and bathroom. The only slight difficulty was the narrow stairscases which are difficult to negotiate when carrying suitcases and heavy bags, and the lift was a bit tricky to operate. But apart from that everything was good. The food was tasty and staff in the bar and at reception were very helpful. We would definitely stay again as it was excellent value and a comfortable bed and room. Also plenty of hot water, which is not always the case.

Nice hotel with very helpful staff.

Hotel is in a great location, parking was full but plenty of space on the sea front with no restrictions. Hotel is very nice down stairs but a little dated in the rooms. This wasn't a issue to us as it was still very clean and that's is what matters must. Swimming pool a very nice touch and great for family's with small children on rainy days. Breakfast was really good. Only constructive feedback would be to be invest in some decent tea bags but would definitely return.

Close to beach

This hotel was the worst I'd ever stayed in, it was very noisy. The staff were unfriendly. The room was very basic and smelt of paint could not have radiator on as it made it worse so roomwas cold. The carpets were worn and threadbear in places.

Average hotel , good value, nice pool.

Hotel from outside gives good impression however reception area and corridors require upgrading. Based on arrival was not expecting too much however slightly surprised as room was comfortable and spacious. The walls are very thin and could practically hear every word of the noisy family next door who kept us awake at night and were up at the crack of dawn. The pool was surprising lovely and clean however again the changing facilities need upgrading as are very old fashioned. Overall good value for the 1 night we stayed as the price was discounted but wouldn't pay full price.

Ok for a two night stay.

Breakfast was excellent, a varied choice. However, soya milk wasn't provided on either morning even though I'd asked staff specially for it. The room was bearable for 2 nights but couldn't have stayed in it for any longer. Very old fashioned, bad decor and in need of a total overhaul. Window wouldn't even shut properly. Kids loved it and enjoyed the pool and sauna etc. All staff were lovely. Very close to the beach front and activities which suited us. Would definitely stay here again but in a better room!!
