We only stayed for 1 night but fully enjoyed it,the room was very clean and the staff even apologised for the water situation(and supplied bottle water)even though it was united utilities fault. The breakfast was to die for.

A haven of peace and charm just off the M6 !Posted Aug 17, 2015 on Hotels
So glad we picked The Priory as a stop over on way to Scotland as the village and hotel compliment each other. Room, food and staff all great.

Quaint hotel. Family run, lovely friendly atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Only drawback was a tiny bathroom, otherwise fantastic.

Village HotelPosted Jun 25, 2015
Cons: Perfect as it is!!
Location: Perfect stop of if travelling from Scotland to England, not far from M6, in a lovely quiet village.
On a summers evening a pleasant place to stay in a beautiful village setting. After dinner what better way to end than to sit outside in the evening sunshine (that's if you get any) with a glass of wine. Staff very friendly.

Pleasant retreat in a lovely villagePosted Jun 17, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed here when collecting my daughter from university. The room was spotless and very comfortable with all the facilities you need. We ate in the restaurant choosing from a varied menu using local ingredients. The food was wholesome, very tasty and nicely presented. Very friendly staff. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Quaint and comfortablePosted May 31, 2015
Pros: The location of this hotel was perfect for walkers and cyclists and the village is very pretty. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming.
Cons: The mirror in the shower room was set so high that anyone under 5' 8'' could not see themselves. The towels were too small to wrap around my size 12.
Location: Plenty of walking from the door and popular with cyclists. Village pretty with small Spar shop which sold everything. nice garden centre/shop/cafe.
We stayed for 2 nights as we had to attend a wedding nearby, The hotel is very quaint but comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very nice and we had dinner on one night which was very nice too.

Pros: Nice village
Would have appreciated someone asking me if I would like a hand taking my suitcase upstairs as they were quite steep.

Great business stopover and amazing valuePosted May 16, 2015 on Hotels
This place is a little gem, rooms have been done up to a very high standard, in a lovely quiet location. Don't be put off by how cheap this place is, it should be twice the price. Breakfast was amazing and staff and owner very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend for business or leisure.
