This place exceeded our expectations. We were passing through and we rented a two bedroom apartment for our group. It was absolutely perfect and felt luxurious. Two great modern bathrooms, a kitchen and laundry, large living areas, two bedrooms. Absolutely beautiful lodging in a lovely area. We all wished we could have stayed longer. It is indeed a resort. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Oh- they even have towel warmers!

Most quaint castle manor in the country, with the ducks, and sheep, walkable area with a pond, just a perfect location to run away from it all. I loved the contactless checkout, easy parking, and frequent phone updates. We got a huge apartment facing the front, which I believe was a free upgrade, amazing! If only the spa was open all day, it would be great, two 45-minute slots in a day, when all hotel guests come at once is not ideal, but didn't spoil the break.

I would recommend Thurnham Hall to anyone wanting to stay in a lovely old house in the middle of pleasant countryside. My 1-bedroom apartment had everything I needed. I had a really nice few days.

Fantastic stay in a gorgeous setting
A fantastic place set in rural location with the option to eat and relax in the bar/ restaurant, or in your luxurious apartment or maybe a mixture of both. The swimming pool and sauna was an added bonus

Lost property
I have been staying at Thurnham Hall on a regular basis over the last 18 months and it has been good . I left a laptop charger behind last week , plugged into a socket . I realised that within 24 hours and informed the management. Unfortunately the charger had vanished. No one else had stayed in the flat after I left and the staff apparently has never seen it . I am really disappointed. Chargers do not vanish into thin air !

Gorgeous location: cosy, warm, well-fitted and well-kitted apartments combined with a really warm welcome. Time spent in the (very clean ) spa was so relaxing and John, who worked in the spa while we were there, was an absolute gentleman. Loved every minute!

The apartment was very large, clean and family friendly. The on-site restaurant was also very nice with a great menu. We would have scored 5 stars but the washing machine did not work, the room had a stale smell and the heating could not be controlled so was either too hot or too cold. Parking was also very limited near our apartment so we were blocked in one morning

A welcoming and comfortable place to spend a weekend. Checking in was very slow as only one person was on the desk and he was being very thorough with the check in process. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Accommodation was spacious, comfortable and clean. Will be going back.

Average, won’t be back in a hurry
Lovely grounds and large comfortable rooms, big enough for a whole family. Staff friendly and polite. Bed was advertised as a double but it was two singles pushed together (happens a lot here looking at other reviews), we aren’t on holiday in Benidorm! I queried and they claimed to be full. Beds weren’t even attached to just pushed apart when moving in sleep.

Overall, another excellent stay but the room was not as good as my previous stay due it being not as nicely appointed and the cleanliness was nowhere near the standard set before. Head of housekeeping Michelle was amazing though and we were moved to another suitable room.

Nice country hotel
Beautiful little resort built around an amazing old Manor House. We had an apartment in the main house and although very spacious, the bed was too hard for us as well as the two sofas. The food at the restaurant was okay but the bar selection was a little let down. The staff were all very friendly but more training needed, especially the bartender. Good price for a nice spot.

Aaron on reception was great. check in was fine. We had a slight issue that was communicated to the manager, Mark who personally came to see us and sort it. Pool staff great too. The friendly ducks were a real bonus for my daughter. Fab service overall.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Brilliant staff (Hilary, Georgina and Martha) on reception, Jayne in the restaurant and the gym reception guys. Very friendly and amenable, nothing a problem. I had a studio in the grounds. It was a fantastic size, private, immaculately clean and even had a dishwasher and washing machine! Everywhere very clean and organized - hats off to the cleaning and maintenance teams. Pool was lovely but 9-6pm opening times too short. Food in restaurant / bar superb and reasonably priced. Small shop by reception is handy for essentials. So good I booked again for the following weekend!
