Because of recent surgery, the staff changed our room to the first floor instead of the one assigned. They were so helpful...always asking if there was something we needed.

Nice friendly hotel

Posted May 28, 2017
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the hotel offers complimentary hot and cold drinks in reception and evening nibbles.
Cons: Negative points from our experience were: our room (The Witmer) had no wardrobe space, just an array of coat hangers & wall hooks and poor lighting.
Location: Great for visiting the attractions of Bird in Hand, Intercourse and surrounding villages.
This is a very nice traditionally styled hotel in a great location to take in and appreciate the Amish community way of life. Unfortunately, not sure why, but our bed was not made up when the room was serviced despite the bathroom being cleaned, so can only assume this was an oversight by the room attendant.

Dear Mike, thank you for telling us about your stay. I am glad to hear you found the staff friendly and enjoyed our amenities and location. I am, however, sorry to hear that your bed was not made. That is unusual and I will look into it. I also understand your concern over the lack of wardrobe space. The building was constructed in the 1800's when most people in this area had one or two sets of clothing, so wardrobe space was not ever considered. We do the best we can with what we have. I hope you will join us again.

Quiet oasis

Posted May 26, 2017
We welcomed the quiet of this adults only hotel in the peaceful Lancaster County farmland. The building and decor was well maintained and charming. The staff were all well informed and helpful. Many fellow patrons mentioned that they come every year, and we understood why.

Anniversary get away

Posted May 12, 2017
Pros: The staff. In the second night hotel they had coffee, tea, soda, coco, snacks for free. You can read books, magazins
Cons: In second room fix wallpaper and air conditioner. Our room was cool but I had it on 67 and it wasn't 67. But it was cool.
Location: Great, we love Lancaster .
When we arrived the greeter as standing there to meet us, she was super nice. Everything was very clean. We had booked one room at the hotel, decided to stay another night, but, we couldn't keep our same room. Not a problem, the staff had the other room ready to go at 11:00 because my hubby had to leave for a meeting and I had no car. Everyone was soooo nice and helpful. Thank you

Cozy B&B

Great location near the shops. Staff was very friendly and walked us to our room and made sure we didn't need anything else. Room was very clean and had a great 2 floor setup.

We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place. The staff was helpful and friendly. Water, coffee and pop were complimentary. Cookies and chips available nightly. Breakfast was nice. We have nothing negative to say. The room was nice and clean. Would love to go back!

Quaint Inn and Terrific Location

Posted Apr 21, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Friendly staff, breakfast included, very quaint inn. Lovely, tasteful decor.
Cons: If you are a light sleeper, request a room in the back or side of the inn. The traffic is loud and constant in the early morning.
Location: Convenient distance from outlets, shops, restaurants, and theaters. There is so much to do in the area. One may take an included tour of Amish farms
The inn is lovely and staff is very friendly. The inn serves breakfast in another building across the street. The location of the inn is perfect.

Great place to stay.

This inn was one of the best we've ever stayed in. We were only in town for 1 night to see a show at the theater. Theater is beautiful. The inn is exceptional! Wish we could have stayed longer.
