My comforter was dirty with what looked like a lip stick stain. The elevator was very old and squeaked when it moved. The room furniture was old and outdated including the TV. The staff was great, breakfast was good. The gym and pool area was updated and nice but the rest of the hotel screamed 1990s.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night to attend a basketball tournament at Spooky Nook. It is only 10 minutes down the road with plenty of dining options a couple miles away. The complimentary breakfast was top notch with TONS of offerings including fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, diy waffles, greek yogurt, oatmeal, cinnamon rolls, etc. The second day due to all the athletes piling their plates high with food, there was a slow down, but the wonderful workers caught up in no time. The room was spacious enough for 3 of us and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The one thing that could be changed is the shower head... It was either too intense, or too dribbly, and early showers resulted in the water screaming. Other than that, everyone was super friendly and helpful and the area was quiet and convenient.

Our stay was not horrible, but for the amount we paid I think there were higher expectations. This was an outdated property, small rooms, and had an “older” vibe about it. Although the front desk staff was amazing and would receive all the credit in customer service, we experienced housekeeping staff yelling and cussing from a near by room which put a bad taste in our mouth. They had good coffee available 24/7 in the lobby coffee bar, and some addicting chocolate chip cookies offered at no charge. The indoor pool area was nice, however had a broken hot tub left with a generic out of order sign with no sense of urgency to fix it. This was disappointing as this was one of the reasons we chose to book the location. One indoor pool, two hot tub, three pet friendly (which someone complained about our dog barking and we decided to take the dog somewhere else for the remainder of our stay) The best thing about this location is the free breakfast which had several options from hot and cold available daily. Overall a 4 rating but if we had to make the decision again, we would not stay here for the value.

Hot tub dilemma
Stayed further away from the venue we were attending just because the location we stayed at had a hot tub. BUT nobody informed us it was broken before we came, so we couldn’t get a refund because we booked with One Hotel group. That is wrong!!! Hotel couldn’t refund us either! NEVER join with a group that won’t give you a refund if something is wrong! NECER book with a hotel that doesn’t inform you ahead of problems with the accommodations. Never again!!!
