Our stay at Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The rooms were up to date and very clean. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Included in the stay was breakfast which was not only good but also convenient. I will certainly stay again when I am in the area.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean
Cons: more outlets near the bed for medical equipment and electronics
Location: The location is convenient to the Rockvale outlet but unfortunately the outlet is largely unoccupied now. It is however very close to Tanger outlet.
The lower floor rooms were being renovated. The contractor was using a solution that was very strong and making guests ill with headaches and other respiratory reactions. My husband went down to the desk to ask that the odor be ventilated from the building. The desk staff experienced a lack of cooperation with the contractor. The manager was called in to resolve the situation. He arrived as my husband was speaking with the contractor, telling them that the solutions they were using should be used in a well ventilated area and are a carcinogen. The contractor got very belligerent with my husband. The rooms had windows that could not be opened. The manager witnessed the interaction with my husband and dismissed the contractor immediately. I applaud his action with the contractor but the guests should have never been exposed to the situation nor should a guest need to ask that it be corrected as the staff clearly knew that the odor was not safe.

This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel. Sometimes the staff checking us in seem grumpy but the other staff we have encountered have been wonderful. The breakfast is good and always fresh. The rooms are always clean. I would continue to use this hotel when in the area. There is never a problem with the wifi.

while the hotel is a holiday inn ,it should be noted that the room I had was very old and had the look of a cheaper hotel ,walls were old looking and overall it was kind of shabby for a holiday inn
