Homewood Suites was a great stay. No issues when checking in nor any when checking out. The staff were friendly, smiles and all. My family and I stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, tater tots cooked to crisp, sausage links10/10. Oh and the waffle maker was the hit of the day. The dining area was clean. The coffee station was also a hit…clean and tidy. The room was clean and just as expected. The king size bed was comfy, and clean. The sofa bed was “alright” as per my pre-teen. If you forget your shampoo/ conditioner don’t worry they got you covered. All In all, if you’re looking for a home away from home experience…book with Homewood suites. Peace and love, Norms
We had a large suite with a kitchenette, 1 king bedroom and 2 queen bedroom. It was perfect for our party of 5. The continental breakfast was great - waffles, mini omelets, tater tots, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and hot beverages. Nice lobby and very friendly staff
The room was slightly musty when we walked in. What really bothered me was room location. The suite was literally less than 1 foot (maybe 6 inches) away from an exit door. My boys, who slept in the second room, could not sleep because of all of the foot transit and noise of the exit door opening and closing—even at 1 am in the morning! Why have a room so close to an exit door? It made no sense.
Our stay was really wonderful! The front desk was extremely helpful in getting us a room that could accommodate us.
The only complaint I would say, is that the pool water was very cold. Everything else was very nice.
While we were overall generally pleased with our stay, we did experience some annoyances that made it less-than-perfect. The toilet was clogged upon our arrival, to which they sent maintenance to our room and handed us a plunger. The next day the chain slipped on the toilet and rather than calling, not knowing what we'd experience this time!) my husband fixed it, as he did with the TV that kept turning off. There was also a completely unruly traveling sports team staying in the hotel while we were there. It took until nearly 11 pm and multiple calls to the front desk to get this issue handled.
That said, the room and beds (even the pull-out) was comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. They had the best danish I have ever had 2 of the mornings we were there; I only wish they had been available all 4 mornings!
The hot breakfast options were limited to potato cakes (cold), maple sausage (cold), western omelette (although tasty, was cold). Waffles tasty. Coffee was good. We checked in late for an overnight after a day in NYC, off the train in Lancaster so convenient location.
We loved our suite with a separate bedroom behind a door. The pool was clean, the breakfast was decent, and the staff were very good. Granite Run is near the highway, but not too loud.
Like the suite concept with separate living and kitchen area and door on the bedroom area. Excellent indoor pool and small but adequate fitness.center. Wide variety of choices at breakfast that is included in suite rate. Close to all attractions.
