George was extremely helpful regarding accommodating my daughter’s multiple food allergies as well as making recommendations for places to dine for dinner. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated in period style but also included some modern conveniences. It was a wonderful get away.

We booked to stay here overnight for a wedding that we were attending nearby. I booked the room on a Wednesday, called the Innkeeper and left a message asking about check-in time since we would not be able to get there until after 7. We did not receive a phone call back. I left another message on Friday before the reservation cut off time and still did not get a call back again. At this point it was too late to cancel and I was never contacted by the Innkeeper, actually they did call at 6:30 during the wedding the night we were suppose to stay. We never made it to the B&B. A return follow up call would have been nice, we spent money on a room we never stayed in.

Interesting house and nice room. On the other hand, the air conditioner did not cool the room and windows could not be opened. Consequently, the room was very warm (warmer than the outside temperature--71 degrees) and uncomfortably stuffy.

Oh no! When I went in to clean I wondered if you preferred the room warm. The air conditioner cooling was not turned on, it was just on high fan. It is true, many of the windows in this 100 year-old building do not open easily. The window to the right of the air conditioner does open but was locked when I looked at it. Sorry I was not able to resolve those issues for you.

We enjoyed staying at the Red Lion on our travels through the area. It was an adorable and interesting home. The Innkeeper was attentive and provided a quick checkin. We slept well and would certainly stay again.

An interesting old property in a nice quiet neighborhood. We had a busy schedule so it seemed like limited food options. Room was clean and well stocked upon arrival. Tight stairs could be difficult for some to maneuver. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Great place for an overnight.
The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. Nice comfortable room with a view of the backyard patio area. There was a small pool with fish. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Safe off road parking was a plus. Red Lion is a nice small community and pleasant for a leisurely stroll around the B&B's neighborhood. I plan to stay there again in the Fall. Breakfast included yogurt with granola and fresh berries, sausage, pancakes and a bottomless cup of coffee.

Great local B&B
My wife and I stayed here for a night while passing through the area and it was a very pleasant stay. The neighborhood is so quiet, you’ll sleep like a log. Very friendly service and excellent breakfast (fresh eggs thanks to their own chickens)!

We liked the B&B. Because I need a cane the staircase was a little difficult and the room we chose had a wonderful mattress that was very high so it was difficult getting into the bed. I'm short. Everything else was great! It was clean and the innkeeper, George was wonderful. Enjoyed the breakfast. We will stay there again.

Owner worked with us when we weren’t going to make it by 7pm check in. Offered to get up really early to ensure we had coffee and breakfast before leaving at 7am. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom had all the amenities. Even had coffees and teas in the room with a k cup machine, microwave and mini fridge. Will stay there again.

We had a long 5 hour “rush hour drive and arrived in the dark with some rain-we were tired travelers! Our host was waiting for us, so friendly and welcoming. He quickly showed us to our beautiful room where I showered and got ready for bed. we watched a little tv and dozed off. It was one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had. Our accommodations were so clean and comfortable-our room so charming! Breakfast was delicious!! I would definitely stay again should I ever head this way. <3

Lovely Bed & Breakfast
This home is over 100 years old and very well maintained. The bathroom and room were very clean and up-to-date. The bed was extremely comfortable. George, the proprietor, prepares a delicious 2-course breakfasts. George is very accommodating and provided late check-in and an area to store my husband's bike for safe-keeping overnight.

Delightful Room in a Cozy B & B
Had an overnight stay here while attending a family function in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities in the very clean, charming room where I stayed (small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and selection of coffees/teas, bottled water, luxurious towels, and nice bathrobe). The room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative for me was that the curtains on the large windows were too sheer!

We were pretty much there only to sleep and for breakfast. The 2 breakfasts we had were very good. Our room was very nice, bed was comfortable and nice to have our own bathroom. During the day we took advantage of the bike rail trail close by and golfing. Even found a bakery to pickup dessert to take to friends home that we visited. Overall things were wonderful and we would go back if ever staying in that area again.

We stayed here in 2018 and it was just as lovely this time as it was then. George, the owner, is very accommodating and makes a delicious breakfast. Everything was very clean. Each room has it's own coffee/tea station, microwave, refrigerator, and tv. It's a very comfortable and pleasant, stress-free atmosphere to be in.

George, the owner, was really receptive and helpful in providing us with things to do in the area. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean. The air conditioning unit was loud but that helped block off any noise outside our room, if there was any. Very cute and quaint.

We had stayed at the Red Lion B & B before COVID while visiting a relative in York, PA. We were very pleased 2 years ago and decided to stay there again when visiting family. The room was clean and comfortable, the towels in the bathroom were great, and the breakfast was quite tasty. It is obvious, however, that there were some areas in this very nice older home that are in disrepair and need some attention. I hope that with time and more visitors, the owners can return their lovely home to the way it used to be. I would still recommend it.
