I have stayed in 4 or so hotels in the area over the last few years and this was by far the best experience. The grounds are gorgeous, the food at the hotel restaurant was amazing, and the room was very comfortable. We also love supporting the Slow Food Movement and the students there.

Absolutely loved the hotel and grounds which are in a great location for travelling the area. Staff were very helpful and made some great suggestions on things to do and see.

Not the first time I stay there, and I'm disappointed. The restaurant is awesome, with a great selection of local wine. Don't forget the wine tasting at the "wine Bank". Rooms are comfortable, mattress is pretty firm, what I love!

Great History, Hotel could offer more
We liked this hotel and gastronomic experience fine, however, with the famous Gastronomic University and Wine Bank on grounds, we felt an experience like we have had in Napa at the Culinary Institute could and should be available for guests. The University is a for " professionals only" and the separation and lack of educational opportunities made us feel somewhat like an after thought visitor while we stayed at Dell Agenzia. The staff was very attentive, facility as nice as most places we have stayed, but the lack of thought toward engaging non professional cooking visitors in a total experience was apparent.

Gorgeous hotel
This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed at lots of 5-star and Relais & Chateaux hotels. The view from the room was spectacular, and the room was huge. The hotel breakfast is the best we've had. The grounds of the hotel are enchanting. It's just a short drive to Bra. The university is also super cool. We used the spa and got a couples massage, which was a fantastic price and very high quality. The pool is fantastic too. We will definitely be back!

We were on this hotel for the second time and when we next time travel to Barolo region, we will again book here. The location is good, hotel is very nice. The restaurant specialises in slow food and has a great wine list - local wines very well represented.

The location is convenient for travel around the Langhe area, but the roads around the hotel are heavily trafficked with large trucks: the hotel is in a very industrial area.

One day stay at Albergo dell'Agenzia
We only stayed here for one night during our tour around the Langa wine district. It is a beautiful hotel. The room is large and so is the bathroom. I did not have my computer with me so I never tested the Internet but our iPhones worked perfectly on their wi-fi so I assume it is good. The location is beautiful. It is in the countryside so you definitely need a car to be able to get around. They have a very large parking and it is free. That is always a bonus! There is a small village with a couple of restaurants. We tried one (walking distance) - a pizzeria that seemed to be the place to go for the locals and of course the food was delicious! The service at the hotel was very professional and kind. Everyone was very helpful. We had lunch at their restaurant but it was only so-so and very expensive.This is, however, a very beautiful hotel to stay when visiting Langa.

We had a wonderful stay at the Albergo Dell’Agenzia! The staff was quite helpful, arranging daily itinerates, lunch, wine tasting, castles. All were beautiful. The interval to drive to each was easy. The pace, friendliness and helpfulness made our stay quite enjoyable.

Pastoral, peaceful place for wonderful sleep
This was a beautifully quiet respite with lots of green space, fresh air, wonderful breakfast, spa area and spotless, simple, large rooms. This was the total opposite of a bustling metropolis. The grounds were beautiful to walk around. The staff was very kind about our little dog. The woman at checkin was incredibly welcoming and nice about anything we asked.

Terrific Hotel in Wine Region
A 4-5 star hotel. Former carriage barns for the palace converted into beautiful elegant hotel. A great restaurant. Beautiful grounds for strolling. Easy access to village for more walks. Easy access to roads leading to Asti & Barolo wine region. Highly recommended!!

The staff is kind and courteous and very helpful. The hotel's design is a terrific mix of old and new. The restaurant's dinner service, however, does not live up to the high standards of the hotel as a whole. The food is timid by comparison with its Piemontese peers, and the service is, to put it mildly, uneven.

The hotel complex is truly stunning. Rooms, service and dining are terrific. Their breakfast is not to be missed. A real gem that you will easily miss. Make sure you have your gps.

Great time
Our stay at Albergo dell'Agencia was wonderful. Granted it was a little more expensive than we what we usually look for but I think it was worth it. The hotel in itself is very impressive, with old world brick arches and details covering the ceilings of the main corridor and even the remnants of a roman ruin on the front lawn. The room we stayed in was very big, and even had two stories to enjoy. It was air conditioned and had a safe, a large closet, two tv's (although that's the last thing you should be using!) and a fridge which had 6 bottles of complementary water that was refilled everyday. Other things we definitely appreciated was the underground parking, the WiFi, the pool, and I can't say enough about the incredibly helpful reception staff. If you are planning a stay here I would definitely recommend you have a car at your disposal. The surrounding town is very small, but in less than a 30minute drive you can experience some of the best food and wine in Italy. There were so many places to explore that we even ran out of time to visit the famous wine bank, which I believe is underneath the hotel. Perhaps next time!

Beautiful setting, great amenities, friendly & helpful staff. The sauna/steam room & jacuzzi is terrific. Too cold to use the pool, but it looked amazing. Large room & bathroom even for US standards. The tub/shower was amazing. Great staff @ check in time. We arrived very late & she suggested we have dinner @ the restaurant, which was a perfect plan. Wonderful waiter for our dinner. Nice bartender getting us cappuccino & wine the next morning. We walked to a restaurant the following evening after touring by car the wine region during the day. Perfect location. Love the place.

Great building but average hotel
Based on Expedia star rate this one has 4 stars. I don't agree. Nobody helps you with the luggage, they don't give all the info you need about the city, (we were there during the White Truffle Festival located in Alba), the room was not clean enough (some maintenance was made and apparently the guy who did it use the bathroom, towels, shower gel), strange smell in the room, air conditioning was not working (outside was cold but inside it was like 26oC, we had to sleep with our window open). The restaurants inside the hotel are great, food is perfect and very important for this region, where you have the gastronomy university focused on Slow Food. The location is very good if you go by car, otherwise you have only one place to visit by foot. The environment is great, the building fantastic, very beautiful! I believe that for the region (small cities) you can't find better hotels than this but I was expecting more (maybe because I only stay in boutique hotels and 5* hotels). It's worth the visit, especially during the truffle festival on october and november.
