Not great
I stayed for 28 days because of the low cost but found I spent more in the long run. While the room is large and relatively clean, the rest of the hotel is in poor condition. The cracks in and around the door let numerous bugs, light and heat into room. The cleaning staff are hardworking and do as well as they can with what they are provided. However, the front desk staff do nothing but watch videos or play games on their phones, usually sitting in a group of 4-5 together. The breakfast area is left in a filthy, unhygienic mess, tables left dirty as well as the floor, which we were required to take ours shoes off while there. Rags used for a month to wash dishes with cold water. Since the front desk are sitting around, assign one to clean up after every guest to a higher standard. Since the hotel is about a km away from downtown, it’s long and hot walk so I rented a moped. Not one from Desa since I paid half from Dreams rental downtown. The bikes aren’t available because they’re wreaked but still sit there in front of the hotel, as well as on website as available for rental. The wifi is useless because the staff is always on it and I bought more data so I could access the internet. I ended up going to other hotels with pools to avoid the heat, walking, wifi and cleanliness issues. Expensive lesson. Hopefully management makes some changes with staff, upgrading somethings and cleaning kitchen area. Absolutely unable to recommend this place.

Not on the beach, but good value.
A shuttle, or cheap Grab taxi ride to beach. Wifi was unusable in evening perhaps because many others using. But clean and good value.

It was kinda clean, people were nice but you could only have one amenity working at one time. If the AC worked the toilet and Wi-Fi didn’t. If the Wi-Fi worked the AC and toliet didn’t. Sheets were clean though.

Yea guys you can rent a weekend there if you are student. It's nearly the main area. I recommend this because I saw some rooms at the beach and This was the worse.

room was good, big, quiet, wifi and cable. clean and comfortable. only down is it's far from town and restaurant selection. don't follow Google maps, you'll end up on construction site and walking through boggy areas

Booked queen bed via online hotels.com but got twin bed. No other rooms available. House keeping did not provide towel. Had to request for towels. Room is ok only for sleeping after a tiring day outing.

New hotel hence it's nice. Spacious room for two pax - two single bed. Cleanliness is good. Wifi connectivity is good even our room at the end of the building. Eventhough the entrance is a bit hidden and diffivult to notice, overall experience is Good.

Desa Terrace Langkawi
I stayed for 3 nights in a double room. Desa Terrace is a small motel style 2-floor building. It is a little walk from the town down a road not suitable for walking on foot, so get a car/scooter. The staff are all lovely and helpful. But there are no amenities or facilities here, so don't expect much beyond a bed for the night. That said the room was spacious, the a/c worked well and there was hot water, so it was fine for 3 nights.

Spacious & clean, away from the hustle & bustle
The room was spacious and clean. Air con was great and it felt like a luxury to have the shower separate from the toilet. The staff were friendly and there is a hit/cold water refill in the communal area so that you can have coffee/tea whenever or refill your water bottle. The location is the only downfall if you are on foot. Not because of the distance to the beaches or food stall (20 minutes and 10 minutes, respectively) but the lack of a sidewalk and space along a semi-busy road at night. However, this would not be an inconvenience if you rented a motorbike/scooter which you can do at the hotel/guesthouse. Overall, this was a very nice budget option.

It's away from the hustle and bustle of Chenang Beach. It's really comfortable. And the view from 2nd level is awesome in the morning. You can see the rice paddy with sunrise as the background. Awesome!

Great rooms and super staff
I booked only one night there and i wish I could have booked the 5 nights I stayed in Langkawi. The highlight of the hotel is the staff. Super nice and friendly. The lady who checked me in she is the kindest a friendliest person alive. She heled me a lot and I took the room early than I shoud. If u r planning to stay out most of the time then this place is urs rooms are pretty nice big and with Ac and its like 1.2km walk to the heart of everything.

I stay at 2 bedroom house.For budget traveller,I consider it was worth of money for a spacious house that fit 5 of us. We not expecting that much for what we pay,but it have all the basic nessecities-kettle,towel,iron,fridge and free wifi.The location is quite far from Cenang Beace but it ok since we have car to mobile.The aircond and hot water are functioning well. Power plugs more than enough.The drawbacks are just:not curtain in the kitchen,people outside can see us, the kitchen door lock was broken,thus make us feel unsecure about our belonging when we left the house and also the 2nd bathroom was too small.Water flood outside the bathroom everytime we shower.Overall still ok for the money we pay.

Homestay hv 2 rooms. Only 1 room hv aircond. I can't imagine how to stay in homestay with low spec aircond 0.5hp only. Very hot temp like you stay in oven. The toilet in master room is smell. Not worth it to stay here compare with the price. Better you stay in hotel with the similar price.

Comfy place, great value
Cheap and cheerful. A 30 minute walk to the main part of the beach and restaurants. Comfy bed etc. We checked in for an extra 4 nights as it was relaxing

Budget Range in the Middle of Nowhere
The Superior/Apartment family rooms are fairly large and comfortable. The staff is helpful, in booking cabs etc.. Rooms are not cleaned regularly unless you ask for it. The main drawback is that this place is quite far from the beach and other places. Eateries are far away - challenge esp. for vegetarians. Try looking for other places in Langkawi.

Neat and tidy
Hotel room was very neat and there was everything you needed for two nights. Hotel staff was very helpful. The walk from the hotel to the main street was about 10-15 minutes which is not bad at all but in the night time when it's dark the walking wasn't that nice due to the lack of sidewalks.

Motel style. Is not close to the beach.
The format is of a motel. There is WiFi, the room is clean and safe. However, the location is not the best. It is a 20 minutes walk to the beach (restaurants, clubs area), so it is a bushy area, with some bugs and stuff around. In any case, when in Langkawi, the best thing is to rent a motorbike or a car, to move around, as everything is far and taxis are relatively expensive.

The hotel itself was very nice and in great condition. The room was clean, as was the shower/ toilet area. The free wi-fi does not reach most rooms and is only accessible in the lobby area. The location of the hotel is a 20 minute walk from the Southern end of town...plus another 10-15 to find good restaurants and shops.

Internet is bad - especially in distant rooms from the lobby. The fridge was packed to overflowing drinks for sale guests - there was nowhere to put my products. Located in the suburbs. To get to any decent restaurant or the beach need to walk for half an hour or take a taxi. The cost of living is not worth the money announced.
