The inn is located in an old building. The windows are not sound proof, it felt like we were sleeping on the street. This was my main problem, the rest was alright.

Could hear the cars and person in adjacent room all night long. Cute Pub with good food. Nice staff in the breakfast room. Nothing within walking distance.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you had a noisy neighbor. We have an overnight innkeeper for any issues that may arise overnight. Out in the country most things are not walking distance. However, within 1/2 mile of the inn there are walking trails, two restaurants, a microbrewery, and two ice cream stands- not bad... Be well.

Very romantic place.Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Had a wonderful dinner. and drinks at the restaurant food was excellent.Nice bar nice atmosphere nice breakfast in the morning. Would recommend this place to anyone really great place..Definetely going back

Noisy traffic , hotel was quiet. Breakfast was not great. We had hard small bagels and cream cheese to start and then scrambled eggs and dry fried potatoes. We did not go to the breakfast any of the other days we were there. (4nights). The room and bathroom were clean and were large. The shower worked well. But the building seems to be tilting. The floor in our too room noticeably slanted down which was a little disconcerting. The staff was helpful .

Our national landmark inn has been operating almost 200 years and passes every annual health and safety inspection with flying colors. Slighly sloping floors are par for the course when you're this old...

It's a building from the 1800's that was nicely decorated and lots of history. Three stories without an elevator, no staff except for 2 hour window to check in, and little explanation of what is available on site.

Our staffing is: one or two staff members are availble during breakfast and later approx. 7 am - noon, then front desk attendant during check-in 4 - 8 pm, an overnight innkeeper, and a 24/7 phone help line. Also, our in room guest services book outlines wifi info, breakfast service info, emergency info, pub hours and menu, gallery hours and web site, building history, etc...

Such a special stay. I enjoyed every aspect of this bed and breakfast. The owner made this such a magical place. It was storybook like. I will definitely be going back to this place and recommend it to anyone looking for unique stay in Ithaca.

Exceptional experience
Historic, quaint hotel. Comfortable & clean. As with all historic/old inns, you can hear boards creak, the radiator kick on or the movement of other guests...our room came equipped with a white noise machine, but to be honest, we didnt use it. We love to stay in historic inns and consider certain noises par for the course. The front desk employee was excellent -welcoming and friendly. The hotel adjourns a pub which has great food and a fantastic selection of beer as well as wine. Our room [#6] was beautiful and just as the pics online advertised. The ballroom for breakfast was lovely. It was a wonderful, romantic little retreat for my husband and I.

Room was big and convenient. Bathroom was clean. Very small shower and very limited shampoo and conditioner, especially for a room that accommodates three, but not enough for two. Pipes clanked all night and traffic was very noisy in the morning. Check-in was slipshod: didn't check ID and didn't give us the access code for the outside door until we asked about it. Breakfast was nicely served. Pancakes were cold.

Understood this place has an abundant history. However, it’s way too noisy. You can hear outside traffic; sounds from upstairs, next doors, downstairs, not to mention Huge sounds from wall AC.The worst thing is the smell - the smoky smell from the Kitchen making you feel you are sleeping in the kitchen. My wife is unhappy and so am I.

This is a VERY old property with no attempt to update. Furnishings are ugly, no charm whatsoever. Had to climb up to 3rd floor with no help with suitcases. No staff on site at night. Our bathroom was not cleaned, towels were not replaced, toilet, sink, shower uncleaned!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are shocked by your review. Our front desk is attended until 8 pm. Then our overnight innkeeper is on site till 7 am. Our rooms are recently decorated witn a blend of antique. Mid century and modern furnishings, new mattresses, TVs and ac. We are very sorry that our National Landmark inn was not what you expected. I like the history and the spacious room. I would rather stay in a historic building than a modern hotel/motel. The noise was occasional passing cars which I am not use to. There was a white noise machine in the room that worked well The room was quieter than most hotels I have stayed in

Breakfast was good - but no flexibility- they just put a plate down in front of us. This inn itself is quite tired. I typically love old charm but this just hasn’t been maintained. Won’t stay again.
