I’m going to start out with saying that this hotel is probably amongst the best if not THE best hotel experience I’ve had . ALL the staff are super helpful and friendly. We’re always there to accommodate your needs. Excellent breakfast. Awesome view right by the ocean. Tight security. Always got a taxi on call and can help you find where your trying to go. I’d stay agin 👌

The entire resort staff was very friendly and attentive. This is a beautiful property. I especially enjoyed the spa and its staff. Niya, Aiza, Jan, Analyn, Evelyn and Rose who was amazing. Will stay again during next visit to Cebu.

I was traveling with my 86 yr old father who occasionally needs a wheelchair. The hotel has a wheelchair that we were allowed to take with us on excursions in the event that he became too tired to walk. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

Overall stay was excellent the beds very comfortable, service excellent I understand there was a storm earlier so 2 of 4 restaurants were damaged. Service excellent and staff polite and very attentive! Overall nice hotel.

The property was beautiful and all the staff were extremely friendly. There was still quite a lot of construction to fix damage from the hurricane, but that's not their fault. It's hard to go out without calling a cab. Some things look nearby on a map, but the areas you'd need to walk through might not be ideal.

staff are excellent. had a poor sleep due to noise level. you can hear the howling winds so loud, like you are in the middle of a wind tunnel. you can hear dogs barking, people singing from a nearby karaoke place and chickens cackling.

The staff and the people/culture are the highlights. The food is overall good. Some of the facilities are in need of renewal, upgrade and maintenance. As the hotel is still being repaired and rebuilt after a typhoon in 2021, i believe it will be at its best again in 2024.

Certainly not a 5 star hotel - it is very dated and felt like a ghost town. Certainly not a "resort" feel if that's what you are looking for. Had no idea the main draw of the hotel (Ibiza) is under construction until we arrived. There's only one dining option at night. Breakfast buffet is not worth the $$ charged. Air conditioner didn't work properly and there was a very disgusting stench in our hallway (8th floor) during our stay. Despite the very nice people working there and the comfortable bed, we were disappointed with this hotel and would recommend staying elsewhere if you're here on vacay

Quiet peaceful hotel. I just had good relaxing time there. Not like: when i entered hotel room bed mattress seemed too much humid . So with iron I solved that problem . Anyway I wish your hotel flourishing more more

This review should just be a continuation of the review for a few nights already submitted. (We added a day). Nice hotel but wish that it had fully joined the Accor group as my Accor member ship would probably have been enhanced by this stay! While walking from the hotel along the highway I was tripped up by some re-bar that I didn't notice. Bad abrasion that required some treatment - happily provided by the hotel at no cost which was fantastic.

Beautiful grounds, nice accommodations. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy happy hour followed by dining at the outdoor Ibeza section due to very loud, awful techno music. Hotel personnel did not even care, would not lower the volume or have the DJ change music despite of no patrons around due to the coronavirus. Thankfully, happy hour and dinner by the pool was enjoyable.

Enjoyed our stay, the staff were excellent and friendly. Housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy and what I enjoyed was that whenever we passed the housekeeping team on the floor, they smiled, created and were very polite. The restaurant staff in Sails fantastic and Peachy at reception was wonderful. Thank you for a great stay.

Disappointing 5 star resort
We stayed one night at the Movenpick and then quickly swtiched to the Crimson. The Movenpick at one point in time I am sure was a great luxurious 5 star hotel. The lobby, restaurants, pool and beach area are all top notch. The rooms on the other hand are very dated, smell like mold and haven't been touched in a couple of decades. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is great. The rooms were just very very disappointing. We stayed in a suite with a balcony which was extremely cramped. The pool area hardly gets any sun all day long except early in the am. The beach area was lovely and the Ibiza bar was decent. The Brazilian course meal was abysmal. Stay away from that for sure. Not sure what several of the meats actually were but they certainly were not beef.

We loved the pool and the amenities like the private beach and raft. The hotel is on Mactan island and out of the central town. They had entertainment in the evening but we were too worn out to participate! The food and service was very good. They are excellent at arranging tours and transportation. The staff spoke very good English

We were a bit disappointed with the size of the facilities (room, swimming pool, lobby, even the beach!) as in the pictures they seemed much larger. However this was outweighed by the staff who were so helpful and always there to make our stay even better. The breakfast was 5 stars.

Relaxing 4 night stay on the beach.
We were looking for a beach location in Cebu away from the city and the Movenpick fit the bill perfectly. This is an Asian Destination and Wedding hotel mainly so the prices are aimed at the top end of the spectrum.

The rooms are comfortable and large enough, BUT, the bathroom is very small. NOT enough counterspace at all. The restaurants are good, but the menu items could be better for choices. Need MORE variety from which to choose. HAPPY HOUR at Ibiza NEEDS to be a bit longer. Entertainment at the Ibiza is WONDERFUL! The beach is very good and clean. A LITTLE too far from any other restaurants or the town for shopping. Food & Drink prices are reasonable, EXCEPT the tours. RATHER HIGH!

The property overall was nice to stay at. The room that I was staying in could use a little TLC, especially in the bathroom. would also recommend a little repair on the outside. Overall it seemed to be a great place to stay.

The amenities are a bit limited for a 5 star hotel, specially given the number of rooms available. The swimming pool and beach areas are way too small when the hotel is at capacity. On the other hand the staff was excellent and willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Food options are many and most are tasty. Avoid lower floors as it can get pretty noisy at night.

Only issue is public transportation was difficult to secure unless it was Booked ahead of time Thru hotel which came at premium price compared to tacit or grab so often waited for over 30 minutes to get ride off property

I hope my team was able to advise you on making advance request for a taxis, to ensure a ride is available within the expected time. We highly encourage this among our guests, more so during the busy season when heavy traffic in main thoroughfares limits the number of available rides within Mactan. We do have a complimentary non-exclusive shuttle service that take guests to the main city mall, with 1 trip in the morning and another in the afternoon. I also hope that you were able to enjoy this guest privilege at the time of your stay. I wish you a joy and prosperity throughout the year 2020.
