Consider staying somewhere else

Posted Aug 18, 2015
All the outside door locks were not operational and subsequently I found a homeless man sleeping at the top of the stairs early in the morning. The continental breakfast was a joke, all high carb products. No fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, or even bagels. Just sweet cereal, waffles, toast, cheap instant oatmeal, and nasty pastries. Pool and rooms could have used a good cleaning.

Wouldn't return here

Posted Aug 17, 2015
The tv didn't work in our room. The window didn't lock either. The pool opened at 10am but checkout was at 11, so there wasn't time to use the pool in the morning.

Cons: Breakfast, beds, furnishings, and bath tubs.
The hotel is a bit dated. The pool did not work.Do not eat the breakfast! It could of been worse but I would not ever stay again if I have a choice.

Laramie Wy Econo Lodge

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Bed were comfortable and the pillows were great.
Cons: The sidewalks need shoveled.
Location: The locations was easy to find and get to and was about as close to the airport as you can get in Laramie.
We stayed at Econo Lodge in Laramie Wy on New Years Eve 2014. The room was clean. The person who checked us in was very pleasant and gave me directions to the airport. The pool was not open and the sidewalks needed shoveled but other than that I would stay there again, The price was very reasonable.

Honesty is NOT the policy of the front desk.

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: It was cheap enough.
Cons: See above.
I called ahead of time and asked about the pool's temperature. I was told 84F. After arrival - pool is closed and it is "too expensive to replace the heater". Next question - pet fee. On the phone it was a one time fee per stay. On arrival it became a per night fee. Breakfast - sign states 6 to 9. They opened it like at 7 but would lock it fee minutes before 9 am. Outside door was leaking and we had a mini snowdrift building up in the room. At least the heater was OK and kept up.

Hypothermia pool.

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Good size room and bathroom
Cons: Heat the pool
Location: It's Laramie - pop. 30,000. Everything is close by.
Overall the hotel is quite decent. Actually it is not any worse than the Best Western few blocks away. I have stayed in quite a few lower end price motels in Laramie during skiing trips to Snowy Range and this one is way better than the others. Pool was disappointment to the kids but Best Western was not any better. I think I will give up hopes for a heated indoor pool in a motel in this price range.

Perfect hotel for the price!

I don't know why people would rate this hotel low. It is was very clean, staff was great, and breakfast was good for continental. It was close enough to the college which was nice since we were there for a college visit.

Police Checks Parking Lot

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was great!
Location: There's nothing to do that I could see. Course we were late upon arrival. As for the location, it doesn't look bad.
Had to go to back of building to get to room, door was locked which was rather frightening. Especially when your holding your luggage and trying to unlock the door. When I booked a room I specifically asked for an outside entrance, but upon arrival there was no outside entrance to the room. The police checks the parking lot every hour. At least that's what the night manager said. Room was nice and clean, and free breakfast was great. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend. Is the police checking the parking lot. It's just that I myself was in fear of my vehicle being broken into. It's for that reason, and that reason only. Everyone must judge for his/her self whether they'd like to stay at the hotel.

Dirty, smelly, and not maintained

Posted Jul 21, 2014
There is no elevator so the only access to the upper floor was a very dirty stairwell. There was food all over the carpeted stairwell. Upon entering the room we found that the locks had been busted off of the door and the door did not latch. The room stank and had not been vacuumed. There was a large burned in imprint of the iron in the carpet that had been covered up with a table. The television was broken and discolored. While we were trying to adjust the broken television we found LIVE AMMO under the television. When we asked for access to the visible exercise room, the front desk clerk became upset and disturbed and told us that the exercise room was for employees only. When we asked why, he became visibly upset and started snapping at us that it was a franchise's decision and that was that. The pool was not available in the morning until 10am, after we had already left. Overall our stay was disturbing and uncomfortable.
