ENJOYED MY 12 DAY STAY. EVERYTHING DESERVES A 7 THE ONLY PROBLEM ARE THE INN N OUT OF THE PARKING FACILITIES. NEEDS IMPROBMENT. OTHERWISE IS GOOD.

Scot the Manager Incredibly Hostile

Pros: Price
Cons: Get rid of Scott. Have more then one clerk at the front desk. Do no leave a clerk who just got hired the day before by himself in the hotel
Location: Border with Mexico
There was a problem with my reservation. Only one clerk working at the front desk and he just started the day before. He called Scott the Manager over the phone. Scott was incredibly hostile both with me and with his employee. Scott informed me that the delay in confirming my reservation was my fault because I booked with Expedia and not directly with Red Roof Inn. He said this in a hostile condescending manner. When I informed him there was no need to yell he hung up the phone. He called back and yelled at his employee and myself and hung up again. I waited for one hour before this could get all straighten out in the meantime a long line of hotel guests formed behind me. All the guests waiting behind me were getting anxious and troubled by the long wait. The newly hired clerk was left to deal with this on his own and he was slower than molasses. Finally he called another employee named Ceci and Ceci was able to walk him though the reservation. This was a nightmare! If Scott continues to remain the manager of this Red Roof Inn DONT GO!

Very basic amenities. No problem with that however, beds are very hard and very uncomfortable to sleep in.

No hot water

There was not hot water in our rooms. I called twice to the hotel the day before and the the same day prior to our arrival. They did not mentione the problem. When we made the check in, they did not mention the inconvenciece. I called to the front desk once we are at room several times whith no response . A lady kind of rude said that prioem was not under her responsibility . Very disappointed

Yes my dad lives in San Benito TX and he was able to login and reserve room for myself. He said it only took him like 2 minutes and my room was ready to check in. Hotel staff was very nice & hassle-free. Thanks again.

Affordable, convenient & amazing!

I was surprised at how great this hotel was! I am making it the hotel of choice when I visit family. Very convenient to shopping and dining, very affordable and clean. I arrived Friday, quick check-in, pleasant night. Saturday, I was greeted by the manager, Scott, who helped me get access to the pool, had a nice swim and spent a good amount there that day. Recommend!

Room reasonably comfortable and clean. Location chaotic and noisy. Hotel in need of renovation. Stairways horribly rundown. No amenities in basic room, but expected at price point.
