DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Stay

Pros: The location and room comfort.
Cons: Staff's hospitality/people skills.
Location: Great restaurants, shopping, etc.
Had to wait 1/2 hour before checking into room; I checked in around 11pm, but there were no single rooms available. Had to wait for desk clerk to locate a room. She wasn't very pleasant. The Front Desk staff are never really friendly, but this lady was the worse in my Hilton experience.

Safe clean dependable relaxing Top notch experience at very fair price Nice swimming pool. Wonderful breakfast spread.

Great front desk staff

Got to my room and there was an issue with my room (the ceiling in the bathroom was repaired but everything wasn’t quite put back together). The front desk was very apologetic and got me into another (nicer) room very quickly. She was very helpful.

Terrible service and very disorganized

My experience at double tree in largo is that it is very unorganized and to never expect to check in your room at check in time. I arrived on time and had to wait for a room for 2 1/2 hours which I booked months in advance. I booked a room with a bath and paid extra but that is not what I received. After waiting 2 1/2 hours for my room I had a room with a shower. The hotel was very disorganized and when I spoke with the front desk several times i was offered an appetizer from the bar. By the time we got in our room I had 10 minutes to change before we had to leave for the football game we were there to see. We ended up late for the game and could not enjoy any of the tailgating experience and had to rush to our seats at the stadium after missing kick off. I was very upset with the hole experience so the next morning I went back to the desk and spoke with the manager and she apologized and told me she would speak with her manager that evening and she would call me but I never heard anything from her. In my opinion the only thing good about this hotel is the location and the shuttle bus ride to the stadium. Other than that I would never stay there again.

Overall the staff and hotel were great. The only issue was that one elevator kept going out of service. The stairs were not easily accessible. After 10 pm you gave ask the staff yo unlock the pool area to get to the stairs.
