Great outlook

Posted Jun 12, 2016
Pros: Nice aspect to the front of the Hotel. Restaurant.
Cons: Bathroom could do with a tidy up!.
Location: Small British seaside resort.
Although the Hotel was pleasant enough and I would happily return, the room we stayed in was a the rear of the Hotel with a half frosted window for privacy and was over the kitchen extractor system which made an awful racket for a majority of the day!.

Over night stay

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: The hotel has an ideal position for the shops etc.
Cons: I was not very impressed by the dining room but I suppose it may be in the best space available.l
Location: Being so close to town centre there are plenty of shops bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance and the seaside is across the road.
We had an overnight stay on June 4th. The weather was very wet but our room 105 was excellent apart from the heat. I tried to adjust the radiator which was on but it did not respond. I called for maintenance and they had a rapid response, however although he adjusted the sealed control the heat stayed on and during the night we had to leave the windows open and curtains open to get some air in the room as a result we were wakened at dawn by the light. I reported this to reception in the morning and was told some guests had asked for extra heaters for this room but I'm afraid this did not impress me. If we stay again I will make sure it is in the winter.

Pros: Highly recommended, staff very friendly & welcoming.
Cons: Could fix the toaster?
Location: Caught ferry to Combrae and staff had no problem with me leaving car in their carpark till I returned 6
Arrived late on Thurs night, in poow weather, but room was warm, staff were courteous and very friendly. Breakfast in Friday morning was excellent evemn though the toaster soppped rotating? Toast arrived 'post haste' from the chef in kitchen and otherwise everything was excellent. Would recommend the hotel for good value and excellent serice, I hope to return some day!

Largs Hotel

Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Everyting was good, perhaps the bathroom fittings could do with an upgrade but that feels like I'm just being picky.
Location: Next to the beach and Nardinis!
Booked at short notice into the Brisbane Hotel and luckily they had availability. The room was clean, staff friendly and the overall experience was good.

Just the business

Posted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: It's very quiet
Cons: Toilet squeezed between wall and shower not much room to open your legs
Location: Sorry Largs but I thought you had more to offer. I was disappointed with the choice of restaurant and menu's on offer.
Only stayed one night on business, so I arrived late, staff were very courteous. Room was at the rear of the hotel because I was somehow booked in as two adults. The single rooms have been updated with air conditioning. Room 115 was too hot. I slept on the bed not in it. I would like to think the £80 I paid was for the time of year and not standard. I only paid £80 for the crown plaza with a massive buffet breakfast last month, and there is quite a way to go for the Brisbane to match the plaza. The Brisbane is a good quality hotel for a business stay
