Good location on Peninsula, surrounded by lovely bush and bird song. House comfortable and well-equipped. Deck dangerously slippery with some partially rotten boards, as per previous reviews. Fire wood wasn't dry so it didn't burn effectively and it was difficult to heat the house comfortably, which ...
The house was clean, lots of room, with a good kitchen and had everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts are wonderful people and were always helpful if we had a question or problem especially when my wife hurt her foot hiking and needed to see a doctor. We enjoyed our stay and if your want to ...
Lovely traditional kiwi home, with heaps of character, ideal for accessing both Otago peninsular and Dunedin. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Modern yet contemporary. Staff wonderful. Fabulous location. Dinner at the castle a treat.
We were really impressed by the young lady who served us our meal, she was friendly professional and very knowledgeable with the history of the castle and its previous occupiers. We found the stables accommodation room 9 to be quirky and probally the least liked thing about our experience. Although ...
Just great! Best stay of whole trip! Don't need 50 words to express more.
brilliant place. Will stay there again when in Dunedin. comfortable, clean and the views are beautiful. Loved the bell bird song at dawn and dusk. Enjoyed lighting the fire at night. Lovely and cosy. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Though this area is full of things to see and do, Larnach Castle should definitely be at the top of your itinerary.
Located in the city of Dunedin, it is a vibrant tourist haven.
With 2 hotels in the immediate vicinity, you won't have a problem finding one that satisfies your needs. Have a look at the Camp Estate and Larnach Lodge. They're both within a radius of 2 miles of Larnach Castle.
Every once in a while, it's nice to spoil yourself. So if you're hunting for a place to stay that's a step up in style and luxury, you ought to look up the Kaimata Retreat, which is just 4 miles away.
