Enjoyed our stayPosted Jan 19, 2018
Not your big American fancy hotel but very pleased! Felt like you were in Mexico but very clean, rooms were clean and nice and cool for sleeping, found very soundproof too! Food is available at all times as well as drinks! Have a small quieter pool in resort and then bigger, more lively one by beach! Friendly staff, good food and great price! Would gladly go back

Time sharePosted Jan 19, 2018
Concierge offered half off boat trip if you listen to 1 and 1/2 talk for time share purchase . Not worth it, it was 4 hours! The resort was fine.

Exceptional service!Posted Jan 15, 2018
Pros: The kind and pleasant staff who are so helpful and caring.
Cons: The food could be improved and security could be more attentive to ensuring that the partiers going to their rooms in the wee hours are quiet.
Location: The location is close to shopping and eating establishments. Right up the street is a taco stand called La Camaron and their food is very tasty.
This resort is a nice, clean and small hotel where the pleasant staff cannot do enough to make your stay awesome. They are very accommodating and, in fact, this was our second visit in a one-year period because we were treated so good. Staff take care to ensure that the pool water is checked regularly and have recently replaced the poolside furniture with lovely new pieces. The food is not excellent but there are enough choices that a person will not go hungry and, again, the wait staff are exceptional.

Great stayPosted Jan 14, 2018
I liked the hotel a lot, the buffet food was great! Yes lots of the same, but they provide a variety of meats, veggies and loved the daily rice at lunch and dinner time (cooked in different ways) they also have fresh fruit all day. I was surprised to see very little Mexican food. Now, the nicer restaurant, I was NOT impressed with. The food was not good at all and it also was cold! The staff was very nice and friendly. I liked the location, I jogged daily to malecón, it was almost 2 miles each way. The beach was small, but enough. I liked the plaza pool. Although you have to walk across the way, it is nice. The way they have the chairs to lie in the sun gives you a nice breeze. Overall I would come back. It came at a very good price.

Not a 3 Star ResortPosted Jan 12, 2018
I can’t complain to much about this place it was super cheap. That being said you get what you pay for. The resort is small, the food is overall terrible and I’m not picky. Breakfast was like 2.5/5 not bad but not good. The lunch and dinner buffet was just garbage. They had very limited choices and the food was just gross. The Italian specialty restaurant was good but like what you expect cheap Italian to be. The Asian specialty restaurant was again just garbage. We mostly stuck to breakfast and fries by the pool. The pizza by the pool and civiche was good but I wouldn’t eat the burgers or hot dogs. Drinks were watered down and poorly made at the pool on the beach. The other pool had better drinks and beer. Loved the mago Rita’s at the chill cafe but it wasn’t ever open late enough. The “club” was stupid no one really went, most the time no dancing or karaoke hours weren’t what was posted (but this was true for a lot of the restaurants/bars too). The drinks at the club were really bad too. The pools, beach and rooms were nice. Staff was super friendly with the exception of a few that have no business working with the public (straight up rude!). They checked us in to the wrong room (paid for a king was given doubles) had to wait an hr to speak to a manager to get the correct room. the hotels policy with Expedia guests is that you have to checkout at 11am and they cut your bracelet so if you’re at the hotel after 11am they want to charge you $25 usd pp to drink/eat/towels.

Exactly what we neededPosted Jan 12, 2018
Pros: Poolside Ceviche! OMG was this perfect in the sun with a cold drink!
Cons: More comfortable in-room seating and wireless coverage at the pool decks seem like the obvious places to start.
Location: Too many to name, but get offsite! there are great experiences and amazing sights you won't see at home!
The hotel rooms are just that, basic and accommodating. But don't stay in your room. Go to one of the pools. Both are nice, but we preferred the one by the ocean. The staff new our drink preferences and treated my whole family awesome, always looking to keep us hydrated. The Buffet was good, I can't say I was blown away by the Italian or Japanese experiences these were more marginal at best. Our rooms were cleaned daily and housekeeping was great. We wandered up and down the beach and the hawkers are polite and easy to both bargain with or bypass with a simple "No Gracias". Speaking of language, it was never a barrier. We took several excursions and I never felt uncomfortable, even with five children running around. We took several excursions and I would highly recommend the Los Veranos Canopy Zip Line and getting out to Isla Marietas while you are in the area. Lastly I would give a shout out to Edwardo. He works at the pool and really went out of his way to take care of each of my family members with great attention to detail.

Was not what I expected with it being a “resort”by the beach. The rooms smelled weird. The staff was very nice for the most part. The food was not good, drinks were ok. I would deff not stay here again. The pictures look nicer than what the hotel actually looks like. One thing I liked was that they didn’t keep my credit card at check in. No fees either everything was paid for through Expedia.
