Lovely hotel central to the Strip

Pros: The general ambiance combined with security made you feel safe.
Location: There are lots of shows nearby, eg Cirque de Soleil; casinos; trips to the Grand Canyon and shopping in the outlet centre.
We spent a week here and were not disappointed. The Bellagio lived up to our expectations. The staff were friendly and polite; the room was very clean and the food was good. The pools are good with unobtrusive lifeguards and attentive bar staff. The pool area can be busy.

The Best

Pros: The fountain, upscale dining choices, the spa and pool.
Cons: The smell of cigarettes were unbearable at times.
Location: Great close by location, taxi trips were always under 20 dollars.
Very nice hotel with lots of upscale dining options. Very pleasant upscale accommodations, visited other hotels to see shows etc, the Bellagio was always, yes we like it the best.

Wonderful experience

Our 50th anniversary was made a special event thanks to the staff of the Bellagio. We were upgraded to a room with the view of the water display. Later when we returned to our room there was a box of mixed nuts and candy with a bottle of wine on ice. We want to thank all the staff for the wonderful time.

Don't expect 5 star treatment

Pros: It was a pleasant room and clean when I arrived. The check in receptionist was excellent.
Cons: Drink service in the casino. Need an elevator to access the pool. LOTS of steps to climb. Customer service.
Location: Mall across the street and easy access to other casinos.
The check in receptionist was wonderful. Sorry I don't have her name. It went downhill from there. While waiting for my room I sat at a poker bar and ordered a glass of wine. I was charged 15$ because I hadn't gotten my money in the game yet. The change was placed on the bar out of my reach. First morning while I was in the bathroom getting ready to go out, housekeeping walked into my "suite". I was in a state of undress and was startled to say the least as I had pushed the privacy button on the door. It was not double locked because my daughter had just gone shopping. The employee had to walk through the living room into the bedroom to see me in the bathroom. I said " oh, not now please" and instead of leaving she chastised me for not using the do not disturb sign which can be hung on the door. Standing there in my embarrassing, partially unclothed state I explained I used the button. She continued to berate me until I said "are you kidding". I called to complain because I was mortified. I was transferred to a line that didn't answer. I was on hold 4 times. I was finally transferred to the VIP desk who responded with how do you want us to handle this. The final solution was to direct Housekeeping to just leave towels at the door and not come in to clean. There was no offer to compensate in any way for this disturbing encounter. It set the tone for the whole vacation. I have stayed in a Spa Suite at the Golden Nugget and it outshines a suite at the Bellagio x 10.
