Hotel with Terrible Maid Service

Incompetent Maid Service 10:30am - left my room with a "Clean My Room" notification and talked directly with one of the maids that my 93 years old mother will be with me to make it easier for them 2:30pm - return to a room that was not touched and made the same notifications given above at 10:30am 5:30pm - returned to a room that was not touched and talked to "Kathy" at the Front Desk (who tried her best) 7:30pm - these things happen * maid showed up for a few minutes and left. * Phone call from management asking for this maid and informed this person that she left * Hotel security came to the door asking me if everybody was physically ok * Soiled sheets are biohazard materials * With all the delays, my 93 years old mother had a minor Senior Bowel Movement Moment that should be a very common experience at a hotel where the geriatric crowd with countless walkers/wheelchairs/walking canes/scooters dominate the hotel population * My 93 years old mother & I left the room for the betterment of both sides 9:00pm - told toom was finished, returned to find that no towels were provided. Shared my request with the Front Desk, but upon finding an unlocked maid area cancelled the request because I can pick up the needed towels Talked to a manager (Eric) Since nobody contacted me prior to my departure, my troubles was deemed Hotel (given its service) is TOO EXPENSIVE at any price. Best experience at the hotel - LEAVING No hotels in the last 20 years treated me this way

Jeff, thank you for your feedback and I apologize for the challenges that you encountered. Additionally, I am sorry for my delayed response in following up with you after we spoke. I have spoken with the housekeeping team and they regret the miscommunication that was evident in attending to your room in a timely manner. If the guest chooses to remain in the room during cleaning, the housekeeper may try to coordinate another, more convenient cleaning time. That was the case in this circumstance and I'm sorry that we were not able to execute a timely follow up cleaning. Our goal is to provide all of our guests with a clean, safe, friendly and fun environment each and every time they visit. I am sorry that we fell short of our goal and we will work hard to improve each element of the guest experience and will work hard to restore your confidence in the California.

Christmas Family Reunion

Family reunion. Half stayed in the tower, newer Section whic is very nice and spacious. Some like me stayed in the main building where the rooms look ok but have tiny bathrooms. Inferior when compared to the tower rooms. Restaurants are great and offer meals locals from Hawaii will appreciate.

I love the California club. That being said, I would stay there more often if I could get free nights. I along with my mom like to gamble. I stay at The D., because they comp Me 2 nights every month. If you comped me 2 nights, I'd stay and gamble at The California Club!

No hot water. During the cold seasons this is a real issue.

We stay at the Cal all the time. Perfect for family trips with everything we need nearby and even the outdoor mall in walking or short driving distance.

New renovation

Shower doors to heavy and no handle inside. Thermostat was not working well first few days.
