Loved My Stay!

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Not an overly-crowded casino. Great staff.
Cons: Add a coffee shop.
Location: One block off Fremont Street. Mob Museum across the street.
One restaurant in the hotel, but other options nearby. A little noise from Fremont Street to be expected. Overall, really an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was nice and convenient!

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: It was convenient to many attractions and downtown Fremont Street Experience, which offered visitors a great experience with free evening shows!
Cons: Enjoyed what was offered...Highly recommend to all.
Location: Many nice buffets, and free "Fremont Street Experience" daily evening free shows and music.
I was there for the Nationals Bowling Tournament on Tuesday & Wednesday. The only problem I had with the hotel, was at the Express Diner inside the hotel for breakfast: there was a large group of people that came and the hotel staff took away our wait staff to handle the in-coming large group which left us and others without wait staff! Took a lot longer to get service as the result.

Great Location for Fremont

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: See above comments
Cons: All good
Location: See above comments
Recommended to me, this is in its own right a fine hotel: good large-roomed accommodation with fine facilities. I was on floor 19 of the grand/tall tower. It's location next to Fremont - for those who want this - is the seller. It is also opposite the Mob Museum, worth a visit, and next to Pizza Rock that does the best meatballs [have the spaghetti with meatballs which has sausage in the sauce:decadent but wonderful]. The hotel's own restaurant/diner is absolutely excellent for sandwich meals - I had grilled mac and cheese and later in my stay a pot roast sandwich, both superb. Whilst not into the gambling, there is a casino there which seemed fine. There is a biker bar just over the road too, and my one visit was a real hoot. Raunchy but fun. Had some problem with ac noise on arrival, but this was sorted immediately for me. Staff always friendly and helpful. Good price, but don't forget the daily hotel fees on top of the [the norm, not something unusual].

Why go to the strip with this gem??

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: Proximity to attractions, classy casino, great food, amazing hospitality.
Cons: Daily housekeeping could be more prompt.
Location: Wow...everything is there. Fremont, Art District, Mob Museum, casinos, photo ops of old school LV signs, people watching, access to the 515.
Great stay on our anniversary. They even had a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries in our room to our delightful surprise! We ventured outside of the Grand a few times over our weekend, but always came back to spend the majority of our time in the comfort of the casino and proximity to the restaurants and nightlife. The staff is exceptionally courteous, the room was very clean, the property is classy and the food is great, no matter what mood you're in.

Awful!

Posted Mar 8, 2017
I booked a Suite and was given a standard room as apparently the suite was not available when I booked through Expedia (even though I paid the price for a Suite nearly $800 NZD for 2 nights) they would not refund me the difference and instead gave me a $100 credit on my account. I was then made nervous when she said that ear plugs are supplied as we have a corner room it can be noisy - that was an understatement! Even with the ear plugs you need to have the TV or radio on to drown out the noise, even from the 18th floor it sounded like a band was playing 1 floor down. Ended up using valet parking as we arrived at 1am and the self parking garage is quite far from the entrance to the hotel across the street. Tried to call room service, was transferred and it just kept ringing. No coffee machine in room, no fridge, under Expedia VIP had a 2 hour guaranteed late check out but when I called I was only allowed 1 hour, and then I would have to pay. When checking out I thought I could use the credit for the resort fee and the parking but no it was only for food and drink so I had to pay again after paying for a room I never got, I was so annoyed!

Good hotel - walking distance to Fremont St.

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Overall a positive experience. Relatively clean room, no tea or coffee machine in the room. Tried to contact housekeeping and the front desk from the room several times without success. Free parking in the hotel garage and hassle free check in and check out.
