Great family oriented hotel with Vegas experience.Posted Nov 24, 2015
Great time at the Nugget, I normally stay on the strip but would most definitely stay here again. Great old Vegas feel, solid casino and Fremont Street was a blast. Thumbs up.

Nice retro hotel with an amazing pool.Posted Nov 24, 2015
Hotel was nice with a great retro feel perfectly located on Freemont. Be aware that if your room is in the Carson Tower these rooms aren't as updated which probably makes them better priced. To get to our elevators we were always approached by staff located at a nearby desk to purchase/sign up for hotel related items. Get enough push on Freemont from the homeless and vendors for our money would rather not experience in our hotel everyday on the way up to our room.

Very nice, we were pleasantly surprised by the overall appearance and service too. We walked into other hotels along the street and were not impressed by any of them. It had been years since we visited the Nugget but we were so glad we chose it and ... we'll be coming back!

Great place to stay. Easy walking to all of the downtown activities. Would have been nice to have free coffee maker in room for that early morning wake up.

Great rates at a plush hotel on FreemontPosted Nov 20, 2015
This hotel had everything we could ask for. Seven different dining options, a heated pool with a shark viewing tank, rental car service desk on site, immediate access to Fremont Street, not to mention it is a great casino. It is also close to the bus stop if you want to see Vegas on the cheap. Overall great experience.

Good downtown hotel but lacks modern conveniences.Posted Nov 20, 2015
If you are downtown vegas person, this is your hotel.. Good points....it is remodeled, big rooms, good staff, plenty of bar and restaurant choices, clean, close to all fast food choices....and now Bad points.....low ceiling, window AC units, although they charge $20/a day..wifi is very poor,be prepare to use your data mins while in room, lotsa people in wheel chairs all over hotel, part time sports book(and mostly grumpy guys )...you can decide if it's for you or not,but not again for me..

Close to other casinosPosted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: The pool
Cons: Rooms need updating
Location: Close to down town
It was good, rooms could be updated especially the beds. Air conditioner needed cleaning wasn't blowing cold lots of dust built up inside of unit could be a fire hazard waiting to happen

Pros: Clean, friendly staff, liked it the pool, poker room and delicious food and close to everything downtown. They have an adult only pool w/ its own bar.
Cons: could have a hot tub at the adult only pool
Location: Great location close to lots of bars and the light show. Lots of history downtown and these older hotels, the 2 ziplines give a quick thrill.
First time staying downtown, it was great, nice being close to everything and so much more reasonable then staying on the strip. Lots to do and just cab ride to the strip to see other shows. Downtown has activities happening all the time and hanging under the light show at night with cocktails, music and everyone is so friendly ready to party. I will stay downtown every time now and the Golden Nugget is right there in the center of everything with the amenities we want, pool, lots of restaurants, poker room, spa and a comedy show too.
