We found this hotel last minute and were thankful for it. It is on the outskirts of town off the highway. It was very clean and bed was comfortable. The owners must have been burned by former guests because the rigid rules were a bit off-putting for someone like myself that has never damaged a hotel room or fudged on the rules in my entire life. First there was a $100 deposit for the ONE night we stayed. This apparently was to ensure we did not smoke in this non-smoking hotel. We appreciate the rooms not smelling of the stank of smokers, but we are not the smokers that damage the rooms! We gave them a cash deposit, which they recommend, so we were able to get out deposit back upon checkout rather than the 3-5 days it would take to refund your card. We went next door to the gas station and got the cash from an ATM. When we checked out, the front desk person literally sent someone to our room to check to see if we indeed had not smoked or damaged the room....
Breakfast: Upon checking in, we received our voucher for the free breakfast. There was a staff member stationed at the entrance of the eating area. She took our voucher, hole punched it and allowed us to proceed. There was also a sign on a stand explaining no food was allowed outside the breakfast area. All food was to be consumed in the eating area, not in the suite rooms, yet there were only about 6 tables in the eating area. It was a very tight area to say the least.
It was noisy outside our window.
