$16 for a cup of coffee in-room? Ridiculous. Called guest services with trouble with our safe, never showed up. Late for dinner reservation because my cash/credit cards were I safe. Called again after dinner, finally showed up but was a huge inconvenience. Property is beautiful. Service is just ok
The fact that you have to order out to get a cup of coffee or be trapped by the $16.00 per cup sitting in the room which most people assume is the 1 thing that even the cheapest hotel in the world offers as complimentary.

I liked that the hotel was clean and updated, however, the fact that you have to pay extra to use the weights at the gym, or buy a tube to go on the lazy river, seems ridiculous and wasteful.
Loved staying here. Updated rooms are fantastic. Great for the kids, being clean (smells great), smoke-free, and less sleazy. We loved the aquarium, restaurants, shows, and especially the pool and lazy river!
We had a bad experience at check in. We got in late and they did not have a room with a king bed for us. They tried shoving a room with queen beds onto us and after about 30 minutes of complaining they found a room with a king bed. The water in the shower would not stay at temperature. It would cycle from warm to scaulding and then back to warm again. It was very difficult to shower without having the water turned to the wall and moving in and out of the water stream. I would not stay at this hotel next year. We will be going back to the Encore or the Wynn. There is no comparison!!!
Poor communication, parking and way finding from outside. Bathroom was not clean - pubic hair in bathtub and grime in spots. There’s an extra charge to basically breathe and do anything more than walking through, but the facilities, once inside and adjusted to, are amazing.
Top notch hotel for less money than other top notch hotels. Amazing pool, beach and lazy river. All the amenities one can ask for. Sparkling, fancy, and relaxing.
Great overall in every way! Delano was casino free and smoke free!

I stayed in this property 15yrs ago when it was The Hotel at Mandalay.
The atmosphere was nice but the room we stayed in clearly had a water leak in the past and each time we showered water would cover our bathroom floor. We did report it but it seems as if, a highly rated hotel should keep up on the basic things such as leaks and maintaining the high quality one expects from the resort.
We also noticed the quality of the toilet paper and paper towels left much to be desired. We used the facilities at Excalibur and the paper quality was much higher.
The staff was great!
This hotel charges for everything and I mean everything. They tax the resort fee (which we never went to the pool), The property is beautiful no doubt but not worth the ridiculous charges. Unfortunately we stayed during the week end and the rates were $245 vs during the week which was $68. Makes no sense.
Very kind staff and very convenient for the price.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The next door guests were loud, yelling and fighting all night until 0400 . I called the operator twice and no help. I felt unsafe there. This was the 25th floor 25203.
The good:
The staff, the grounds, the room.
The bad:
Water in the shower constantly fluctuating between hot and cold. Couldn’t use the fridge unless I wanted to pay $50 during our stay :(. The wonderful pools closed way too early. The “wave” have one tiny wave every few minutes. For the price with the issues I wouldn’t stay there again.

Unexpected fees. They charge a 35 a day resort fee on top of your room and the mini fridges are touch sensitive. They charge for personal use of the fridge
Booked a king and ended up in the Delano which is nicer than Mandalay. The room had another adjoint to it, where theres a door on both sides.
One of the nights a couple was upgraded to the Delano from Mandalay and was placed in that room. How do I know this? Because they keeps screaming it at their entier phone contact list while blaring hip hop at 1:30am.
The 2 doors do little to separate the rooms sound wise.
Nice room, great view, reasonably priced. Do not get room service, however, unless you don't mind paying $100 per person for pancakes & eggs in styrofoam to-go boxes.

Large pool area which is nice for kids, but was expecting a much classier experience at this hotel. The rooms are outdated and feel tired. Everything is also way overpriced. A simple drink at the pool is $30. For the price of this hotel room, you’d be much better off staying elsewhere like the Venetian.
