Thrifty and great off strip location

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Nothing special but they do have a breakfast buffet that's inexpensive and made my tummy smile. Rooms are standard but roomy and has a fridge. I couldn't say that for the hotel we had left from.....couldn't even gamble at that one. It also has a free shuttle to the strip and was close enough to drive to strip. I'd stay here again.

Nice cheap hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2016
I was looking for a cheap hotel for my 2 nights in Vegas and that's what it was. Nothing fancy but the room was clean. I loved the idea of the free shuttle taking you to the strip.

Dear Yaele Thank you for the comments and we look forward to seeing you again. On a side not, we were the first hotel to have a shuttle in Las Vegas (1977).

(soon won't be) hidden bargain for LVCC goers

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Pros: convenient location, decent and clean rooms
Cons: Wifi very unstable, and get rid of the resort fee (I still don't understand why they charge it anyway).
Location: LVCC, gas station, and 7-11 are only a block away and the strip is a 5 minute drive too
With the rising "hidden cost" such as resort fees and soon to be added parking fees, Mardi Gras has still been an affordable bargain for trade show goers. Only minutes away from LVCC and the Las Vegas strip, it is hard to find a more affordable room than this place. Granted, if you are looking for luxury or to be treated like loyalty, this might not be the place for you. But if you are simply looking for a bed to rest your head for a few hours after a comfortable shower without spending an arm and a leg, then look no further.

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments. We try to be the alternative to the high price of the "Strip" and I am pleased that we met these goals. We hope to see you in the future.

You get what you pay for

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Pros: It was quiet and off the strip.
Cons: Change pest control companies to reduce the ant problem.
Location: Quick walk to the monorail. Other than that, there is not much nearby.
I wanted something off the strip and found this hotel. You get what you pay for. It was cheap with low resort fees. It was an older hotel, had a few ants, but it did what we needed. Gave us a quiet place to sleep at night away from the noise of the strip.

Off the strip hotel but worth it

Posted Aug 14, 2016
We booked Mardi Gras 15 minutes before we showed up using Expedia. They didn't have the reservations right away but they were able to find them after about a 3 minute wait. The out side and the area don't seem that great but if you're a thrifty shopper you'll love the room. It actually had a little living room area, kitchen area and bedroom, like a little studio. Fridge was included. Major setback was the ice machine wasn't working and even if it had there's only the one by the casino.

Dear Guest Thank you for your kind comments. With regard to the ice machine, unfortunately, some guests fill their ice chests in the morning before heading out in the heat and empty the ice machine. At that point the machine is playing catch-up all day. We have signs around the property and in each room asking that the ice chests be filled at the restaurant for free using the large ice machine. Again thank you for your response and we hope to see you in the future.

Did not have enough channels for room t.v's. Though shuttle service is complimentary it needs to be expanded.

Dear Guest We offer over twenty channels including network, news and sports. We would like to offer ESPN, however, ESPN has made it cost prohibited to be shown in hotel rooms. With regard to the airport and strip shuttle, it operates from 7am to 11pm. The monorail which is located just one block north operates 24 hours a day. We apologize if this did not meet your travel needs.

Room is big, but not very clean. For one night is ok. I feel not very safety, people can walk into the hotel.
