Nice hotel close to The Strip, Metro bus station

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Clean, big room equipped with all necessary appliances.
Location: Fremont Street is just in front of the hotel entrance. The hotel also provided me discount coups for food and day trips.
I got best value against my money. It was wonderful hotel to stay in.

Very close to Fremont Street, which we really like

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Very close to everything
Cons: To get the room I booked, and to have hot water for showering.
Location: Very close to Fremont, and lots of casinos! Also very close to bus stop to go tour other parts of the city for a reasonable price.
We did not receive the room I had booked, and there was no hot water for showering during our stay.

Will stay again....

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Cons: Check-in!! Check-in was at 4pm, and to only have 1 staff member behind the desk working made no sense. The check-in line was at least 10 people deep.
Overall, great! More staff needed at front desk. Loved the proximity to Fremont Street, appreciated the free parking garage, and there was plenty of meal options to choose from.

Excellent Price

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Deals, price and cleanliness
Location: Mermaids, gold digger, California, Binion Casinos as well as shops and trinket stores
We only paid about 45 bux to stay here on a Thursday night and we had a splendid time. The room was very clean and comfortable. They gave us a book full of coupons for the bar and restaurants at their casino as well as a coupon for 25 percent off our next stay. Right at the beginning of the fremont street where there are plenty of attractions and casinos to visit nearby as well.

I came to Vegas for work seminars. No partying. For the cost, the hotel provided a lot of value. Great location for downtown LV. Roomy with all the vital hotel accommodations. Clean. All staff was friendly. A maintenance person walked me to the front desk when I was lost. I stayed in south tower because I was told it the north tower is noisy. There are many worse hotel rooms for the same cost. The only issue was the smell coming from the sink. It was because the hole plug was missing.

Convenient location

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: convenient location
Cons: bathroom basin fitted was too high for comfort with blocked drain. Light switch outlet did not work and housekeeping had to be sent to check.
Location: stated above
close to the Greyhound Bus Station and Fremont Street Experience and Bonneville Transit Center where the all day bus pass costs $5 instead of $8 when bought at the Freemont Street end

Good value on the end of Fremont Street

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Good value and a good location. Hotel has a Hash House A Go Go restaurant.
Cons: Maintenance issues: the ice machine on my floor was broken, and no plug for the bathroom sink (in a severe drought!) Room safe was not functional.
Location: Fremont Street has all the food, drink, gambling, and flashing lights that you'll ever need, and it's walkable.
Easy check in, but it is a longer walk between the front desk and the south tower elevators (conversely, the north tower elevators are adjacent to the front desk). The valet desk for regular people is next to the south tower, over by the Greyhound bus station, which is also really far from the front desk (Only VIPs get to use the little roundabout thing by the front of the hotel). My room was nice, and it was definitely a great value. However, the bathrooms at the Plaza are really small (The only way to physically fit is to enter the bathroom, close the door, and then sit down on the toilet), so be aware of that. The vanity/sink is outside of the bathroom though, so that's a bonus to have access to the sink while someone is in the bathroom. However, my sink didn't have a plug, so there was no way to fill it with water for shaving, thus I had to leave the tap running, which is pretty ridiculous in a city experiencing a severe drought. My in-room safe was also not working, which was an annoyance. My final maintenance gripe is that the ice machine on my floor was broken, but that's not the end of the world. The beds were comfy, the room clean, and the air conditioner kept things cool, and those are the most important things for a hotel room in Vegas. The Plaza is definitely a decent place to stay if you're looking for a good deal, despite the minor hiccups you may encounter.
