I was pleasantly surprised with the Rio! My last stay here was back in the early 00s when Rio was renowned for having one of the BEST seafood buffets in Vegas. It's where I was taught the easiest way to crack open crab legs. I requested a Suite for it's Window Jaccuzzi Tub and I was NOT disappointed! The room itself was beautiful! Had a huge dining table we used for board games, the TVs allowed screen share, the bathrooms were clean and spacious. We stayed two nights here and ate at the Dim Sum restaurant and the little sushi place in the food court. Both were excellent! My only complaint is how long it takes their staff to bring requests up to the room. We also somehow managed to lock ourselves out of the master bedroom and there was no knob pin to unlock it (I had to pull apart an ink pen to open it) I would definitely rent one of these suites again! We didnt get a full strip view, but even the view of North Vegas in the jaccuzzi with a bottle of champagne was fantastic!

I had to change rooms 3x’s the first room the TV was broken and the tub didn’t work! And the toilet wasn’t working the second room was yet another broken tub and it had hair all in it so I know it wasn’t cleaned no phones in the room but one in the toilet room the vent in the bathroom was open to all the wires and I had children with me they’re the ones who discovered that the heater wouldn’t turn off I had to request a fan finally the third room was nice but it smelled like cigarettes and I have asthma it was the worst trip ever I’m so glad to be home

I didnt like that we were put in a room where the sofa was nasty looking. Our restroom at times smelled like sewer. I hate there was a window to look into the shower. Small tv for a large room. I hate i waa put in a room far from everything like pool and restaurants. I wasnt even told about the dance floor on 51th floor. I found out last day. Did know anything about pool hours!

The room I had was not one of the newly renovated rooms. The furniture looked like it can from a thrift store. Room was clean otherwise and staff was helpful and friendly. Casino is just ok. A lot of games set up to give the casino a better advantage.

Ran down, needs renos. Smells of cigarettes, the pool closes at 5 pm?? Why? You are in the middle of the dessert! No breakfast, limited dining. Price and pool (except for the hours) were good

For what we paid it was great! We had a great view, the pool was lovely, the place was just fancy enough for us and what we spent. The shower never got hot because we were so high up and they sometimes have pump issues...I thought this was a deal breaker for me, but after staying there for three nights I was ok with that for what we paid. Had we been in a lower room it would have been better for hot water, but the view was worth it

The only problem that I have with this hotel, it is very old and least they are trying to upgrade on the hotel besides that the rooms is big and spacious to work on the pillows and the restaurants but overall it’s average

We were expecting more with a "renovated" hotel. The rooms are tired. The AC wasnt strong enough to get our room cool. We didnt even engage with any of the staff with online check in so couldnt tell you about the staff. Signage could be improved since you dont actually get to interact with staff.

Elevators did not work all four days that we stayed there. The tower I stayed in only had one working elevator so we would have to wait approximately 30 minutes to get down or up.

I am disappointed to hear of your recent experience at the Rio Las Vegas. Thank you, Roberto, for taking the time to bring this to our attention, the wellbeing of our guests is of the utmost importance. We try to ensure all our facilities are working properly so there are no interruptions to a flawless experience but when that happens, we definitely would like to ensure that you are comfortable in that situation. After speaking with security, and engineering, they have had the elevator technician repair any phones that were not working properly. We can ensure that the phones in all our elevators are currently working properly.
