Only if there were no where else to stay...

Posted Sep 9, 2016
Pros: If nothing had gone wrong, the price was acceptable. It was fairly quiet, for it's size.
Cons: The plumbing, the air conditioning, some warning about how much walking there is to do.
Location: Too far from the Las Vegas Strip (or anything) to walk, so always paying a tip to get the car. Felt a little isolated.
The room was ok..not spacious, but clean and a little tacky, but well maintained. Big hotel...lots of walking to get everywhere. Sink backed up, drained, then a sinkful of muck and black hair came up (we are two blondes). Water was turned off with no notice for several hours on day two. Toilet wouldn't flush, no sink water. Air conditioning would not work when we got back to our room from a trip out during the day in 106 degree heat. Thought we were going to die. Staff was always apologetic and repairmen were prompt, but really? I don't think I should have had to be on the phone getting repairs, and I don't think I should have had to pay for this.

I'm so sorry for the issues you had with your room. Please know you can always reach out to the hotel management for a room change or resolution. We do have a free shuttle that goes from the Orleans to the Strip every 1/2 hour.

Nice modern rooms but smelly casino

Posted Sep 6, 2016
Cons: remove smoke smell
It's an old school casino style so the cigarette smoke smell is very noticeable. But the rooms (Premier room) are nice, modernized and clean. Bed very comfortable.

Other than the heat/cold control, the room was outdated. No locks for bathroom and no refrigerator.

We just finished a room and suite remodel project this past year, our "old" New Orleans theme may not be for you. We appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Nice upgraded newly remodeled room

Posted Sep 5, 2016
Casino and restaurants seem to be a dive compared to the newer hotels in Vegas but I will say the room was above my expectations. We were shocked to walk in our room smelling new and remodeled very well done! I would definitely stay here again but take the shuttle somewhere on the strip to casino and eat.

It was a little strange as I felt like I was in a foreign country. Not in a bad way but I was def a minority.

A little dated. Could use new furniture. Overall a good hotel. Great buffet. There are other things to do if you don't gamble. Couldn't add photos.

Thank you for the review! We have just remodeled all of our guest rooms, including new furniture. The casino will be undergoing a remodel shortly, as well. I'm glad you enjoyed our hotel.

Great place to stay

Posted Sep 1, 2016
Pros: Big enough that you don't have to leave for anything.
Cons: The casino gets a bit smoky from the cigarettes. The no smoking areas should be a little bigger and the rule enforced.
Location: It's off the strip so the crowds aren't a problem. If you want to go to the strip, a hotel shuttle will drop you off and return you to the Orleans.
I've been to Las Vegas 3 time in 3 years and I've always stayed at the Orleans. It's a big place so it doesn't feel crowded. The pool area is very nice, well maintained and clean.
