Luxury hotel for mid-range price

Posted Aug 26, 2016
I stayed in a "Signature Balcony Deluxe Suite" on a high floor. With hindsight I would have been equally happy on a lower floor and without a balcony. What I liked about this hotel: - Clean and comfortable. - Excellent room amenities for working or relaxation. - Kitchenette with microwave oven and refrigerator. - A/C effective and quiet enough to leave on overnight. - Front desk staff and concierge efficient, friendly and helpful. What could have been better: - Refrigerator has a noisy fan that may disturb light sleepers. - No plates or cutlery provided in kitchenette (but can request them). - Only paper cups provided for coffee. - Can't use a VPN service over the hotel wi-fi. Tips: - Ask for a room in Tower 3 if you'll be walking to the Strip. - Ask for a room in Tower 1 if you'll mostly be heading to the MGM resort. - Some rooms have balconies but it was too hot (in early August) to enjoy standing outside for long. - The location isn't particularly noisy so a higher floor offers little benefit in terms of quietness. - There's a big 24-hour Walgreens on the corner between Harmon and Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip) where you can buy groceries such as fresh milk and all kinds of useful items such as cheap suitcases.

Well-located for all interests

Posted Aug 25, 2016
Pros: Quiet yet close to all the entertainment, pleasant staff, nice views from the balcony, clean and spacious. Convenient access to the MGM complex.
Cons: One pool should be accessible starting at 6 am; 8 am is too late. Control #s in the lazy river. Provide newspapers. Lower or eliminate resort fee.
Location: Close to all shops & entertainment & the south stop of the Las Vegas tram is accessible via the MGM hotel. However tram does not go very far north
This hotel is off the strip, which means a more quiet stay and yet it's still very close to the action for those who want it. There are 3 towers, each very similar - Tower 3 is closer to the moving walkway which connects you with the central MGM resort. There, you will find an excellent pool complex for those who like to sunbathe, just play around, or for more serious swimmers. If you're the latter, you will need to head to the pool as soon as it opens or it'll be hard to find space to swim laps. The lazy river is a very pleasant experience, once again, if you are there early before it gets too busy. The room service portions are fairly generous but expensive, and so is the in-house Starbucks located in Tower 3. Prepare to be shocked especially if you figure in the current exchange rate - better to use the in-room coffee maker unless price is no object for you. If you book a kitchen suite, you will have to order up your plates, cups and cutlery and you have to ask for paper towels and dish cleaning materials separately which was odd. There are convenient washers and dryers on the ground floor. Note there is no newspaper delivery.

Nice place, with larger rooms. The big downside is how far the walk is to the MGM Grand, especially if you're in tower 3.

Love this place

This is like an oasis away from the crowded streets. We have stayed here twice now and wouldn't consider anywhere else to stay in Vegas. Rooms are huge and well appointed. Each tower has its own pool so always a lounger available. We will be back

Near Strip but gambling free

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: Location and quality of the accommodation.
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: Access to all of Vegas
Good location , could walk in air conditioned corridor to the strip and access to the monorail. Great that there were no slot machines etc in any lobby. Parking at the hotel for free was great, proximity to airport was great. Room was very large and very well equipped and very reasonably priced.

Second stay at The Signature and wont be the last, love the option on not having a casino under my room and at the same time you have walking distance the MGM casino.
