Room first assigned was FILTHY!

When we first checked in, we were told because we booked on a 3rd party booking site and our room rate was so good that they couldn't accommodate our preferences. They booked us on the first floor. Many wedding parties were going on near our room with doors open so the noise level was high. When we looked in the room, the sheets for grubby and had black marks all over them. There were lipstick marks on the sheets and pillow, dirt under the duvets, tile floors in bathroom were grubby. I mentioned it to a housekeeper nearby who was willing to change the sheets, however the whole room needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Went back to check in and she didn't even seem surprised when I mentioned it. They put us in a much better room which was much cleaner. The housekeeper manager was very embarrassed we experienced that and was apologetic which was their saving grace in my books. Even outside of the room issue the lack of cleanliness was seen throughout the hotel, especially the elevators.
