awesome ecperience

We enjoyed our stay but found it a long trip to the restroom while enjoying the Rock Vault was a little annoying. Other than that we had an awesome experience.

Great location

The atmosphere in the hotel was nice. The Beach Cafe has a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. Rooms are big and clean. Hotel staff are accommodating and helpful.

Miserable experience.

Posted Jan 23, 2016
Definitely the worst hotel I've stayed at in any city, let alone Vegas. I asked for nonsmoking and got a smoking room. Bugs on the ceiling compelled me to stand on the bed and kill them at 1 am. No water pressure, and the room was not very clean. They moved me the second night, but of course that was a huge pain because I was attending a convention and had to leave my luggage with the doorman until I returned. Wifi was out of service for the second morning I was there so I couldn't get any work done. When they tried to make it right they gave me a free dinner. Unfortunately the food was average at best and the bartender serving the food didn't even acknowledge I was there for about ten minutes. A free night would have been a better offer. But I didn't ask so maybe that's my fault.

Good Value

Posted Jan 22, 2016
Pros: Value Priced, Chillin Bar, red Chairs on the way to rooms so comfy sure don't look it
Cons: Chairs in the café were horrible to sit on
Picked the Tropicana as was relatively cheap and I knew they had done room upgrades. Room was clean

Tropicana Las Vegas

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Pros: staff were great and the size made it manageable to get to what you wanted unlike some of the other hotels there which are massive
Cons: décor could do with updating
Location: it is one end of the strip close to the monorail at the MGM so access to everything was easy
not the biggest of hotels in Vegas but that has its advantages, especially when your legs have gone having walked up and down the strip. it has all the necessary amenities and the rooms were good for what is needed and the beds were comfortable.

Wonderful from beginning to end

Posted Jan 15, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Room service
Location: Convenient to what I needed or short cab elsewhere.
From getting thru the front door, reception, housekeeping to leaving to go home. I have nothing negative to say

Just OK

Posted Jan 15, 2016
Pros: Room was nice and had space. Bedding was good.
Cons: Employees could be trained to be more engaged, but it's really just a bed for most people staying there, it's not the destination...
Location: At the edge of the strip. You'll take transportation to get to most of the area you're interested in visiting.
It just seemed like a lot of money for an okay room with long walk to the road. Just seemed like the whole place was fairly lifeless. "Resort Fee" was charged separately upon arrival, which is becoming the norm in Las Vegas but still tacky and expensive... basically you're paying triple what you'd pay at a downtown hotel for internet. Workout facilities didn't include use of the sauna, etc. Not much value.

More than a 4 star

Posted Jan 14, 2016
First time at the Tropicana. I had a great experience for a staying one night. Hotel smells clean since the moment you walk into the casino not like the others that smell like cigarette everywhere. The staff is super nice and even let me check out one hour later. Will be staying again next time I go to Vegas.

hotel bem localizado

Hotel bem localizado e com bom nível de conforto. Limpeza impecável, mas em uma dos dias esqueceram de colocar o shampoo e condicionador
