Not good enough

Posted Jun 21, 2017
Basically, I'm not writing another whole review because the sensitive people at Experian don't like minor, minor descriptive words that could be construed as slightly offensive. The hotel itself is ok, like all hotels in Vegas, you are forced to walk through the casino to find reception, your room or anything else that isn't a form of gambling. The hotel staff at reception offered a room upgrade but these are the only decent members of staff we ran into. the rest are just plain inconsiderate. The cleaners regardless of do not disturb signs just smash around outside the doors and in the rooms next to you. We were woken very early after a late return from the grand canyon. We also had items go missing on the last day. The hotel staff finally offered to get it reported to security as we were leaving for the airport... No good then, I'm leaving for the airport!! Basically I wouldn't recommend this and the reception staff on checkout didn't even bother to ask how our stay was... Just don't bother.

Pros: The hotel was well located for the trip

Location: Being on the strip is great it allows easy access to all the action the strip has to offer
The hotel is well cared for and clean but the rooms are due for renovation

Friendly and helpful staff

Posted Jun 9, 2017
Stayed here for 10nights, quiet area of the strip but not away from the strip so it was still quite quiet away from busy area. Staff from FO to HSK, and the poolside staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will I be back, absolutely! Love Vegas and Tropicana may be my new fav hotel in Vegas ❤

Pleasant

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: Clean, updated
Cons: We had a late check-in, had to wait forever to be helped as there was only one person at check-in registration.
The hotel itself was pretty nice. Our room didn't get very cool. It was very disappointing that the skywalk/escalators from Tropicana to the MGM was closed off, made it a hassle to get anywhere on the same side of the strip.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll let our facilities team know about your air conditioning experience. The bridge opens back up in mid-June 2017.

Quite strip area

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: I like the space in our room and its quiet even thou the hotel is in Strip area.
Cons: The cleaning, they clean the room everyday but its still dirty, more vacuum on the carpet would be nice.
Location: Location is good very close to action, you can take a bus $8 for 24hrs. I think the bus stop to every hotel in strip and bus go to Fremont too.
We arrived in the hotel Tuesday around 7 pm it wasn't very busy, check-in was fast and we were so lucky to get a free room upgrade Strip View. They clean the room everyday so its good. The room key is a bit of a problem as sometimes the key don't work, they had to change our room key 3-4 times and we had to wait outside the room for 15-20 min for the security to open our room, next to our room had the same problem and they were waiting for more than 30 mins outside their room. The casino in the hotel is Ok but the table staff is not very friendly looking like they don't smile or chat with you and give at least $1 dollar if you order a drink so they'll kept coming back to get you more free drinks while you play in the casino. The Buffet in Tropicana hotel is expensive breakfast buffet is $22 adult same rate for child and not much food to choose like there's only eggs, bacon, bread, fruits and salads. My advice is go to Luxor or Excalibur breakfast is only $19 adult - $12 child and a lot to choose from.

Great place!

Posted Jun 6, 2017
On our first visit there I went to book at hooters we still came to visit the Tropicana. the second visit we booked at the Tropicana and will continue to. They remodeled the rooms so the only downfall was the over powering smell of paint when you walk in. Other than that from the food to the dealer Tonee to taugh us 3 card poker! They are awesome and we are returning this weekend!

It was OK

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Its affordable to stay there but not ideal if you want to be in the center of the strip.
Cons: Needs some renovations and a good ventilation system inside.
Location: Excalibur hotel had an excellent food court affordable. Walked through Excalibur it was working at the time but the MGM walk through was blocked off.
The hotel was the first one on the strip going northbound and the staff was amazing but when entering inside the hotel lobby the casino table are right in front and lots of smokers inside which the ventilation wasn't that great cause you can smell it. The hotel is a bit dated and run down as for the rooms were okay except for the muggy damp smell in the rooms. Washroom was okay but the bathtub and shower were outdated. No coffee machine or fridge in the room which was very upsetting. In the photos of the hotel the pool side looked so much bigger but not so big when your actually there and the fact it opens at 10am and closes at 7pm wasn't so great because after sightseeing and coming back to the hotel there was no time to enjoy it. Food court was pricey and never mind the restaurants. No freebies from the hotel was offered or any discounts on shows which was very odd, since other hotels walking through did offer.
