We had a lovely stay at this apartment, which was cleaned every day, bed made, towels changed etc. Conveniently located by the beach and with a bus stop nearby, only 10 mins to Agios Nikolaos. Quiet sandy beach with a couple of nice restaurants/bars, pedalos, beautiful clear sea. What more could you ask for!!

Good stay next to a nice and cozy beach
The area was as expected, by a nice beach with a small taverna (with great food) which we really enjoyed. The room was clean and enough for a couple but the bathroom was really small. I can’t really complain for anything when it comes to the hotel itself however, there was a feeling that the staff were not that happy to have us (or other people) there. The receptionist and the taverna staff (especially Manos) were really welcoming, supportive and friendly but there was not the same at the coffee shop and the beach (everything belongs to the hotel). There, we met staff that most likely are there against their willingness, we never saw a smile when taking or delivering an order, nor thanking or asking whatever so all in all, completely different behaviors but at the end, I would probably visit it again if I would visit Agios Nikolaos.

The rooms were quite small but very clean and adequate if like us you do not spend much time in your room other than to shower and sleep. We had a small top floor room with a balcony which was lovely to sit out for a coffee in the morning and for a night cap but do beware of the mozzies. It’s very quaint and we would defo go back there again as it’s set out like a little Greek street with vines and fruit trees growing everywhere, very pretty. It was very quiet due to Covid but a welcome break for sunshine and Greek hospitality. The taverna across the road from the apartments and on the beach is beautiful and sells fab local cuisine and is also very friendly. You can also stay on this beach which is popular if you like the rows of sun beds with waiter service but we prefer to find a more natural beach so a car is pretty essential if you’re stopping here and want to explore. We walked to Agios Nikolaos a couple of days but probably wouldn’t do this with children as parts of the road are a little hazardous. All in all we enjoyed everything about it. Would go back again no problem 👌❤️

Ammoudara fantastic place to stay
Fantastic base near Agios Nikolaos - beautiful beach, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and lovely restaurant on the beach side of the road. Quiet spot away from the busier town close by. Swimming at beach very safe with free sun beds and umbrellas.

Great location and value for money
The hotel and room are at the budget end of the spectrum, so don't expect five star facilities, but the room was cleaned well daily, the bed was fine, shower worked well, you could make a basic breakfast and cup of tea, all the basics were good. For the very reasonable price we paid, this was all we wanted. The beach opposite is one of the best we saw in Crete. Sun beds, which are free provided that you buy a drink, seemed to always be available. The restaurant overlooking the beach is good serving the standard Greek fare, its location under the trees, with the waves lapping gently in the background is absolutely lovely. There is a road between the hotel and beach/restaurant, but it does not have heavy traffic and the visibility is good, it was not a problem. It was very helpful having a mini supermarket in the hotel. The bus stop for buses to Agios Nikolaos was right by the hotel. Taxis to Agios were only 9 euros. We loved it here and if we return to Crete, it would be our first choice.

So-so, very basic and not worth it for Crete
The "with dinner" option isn't worth it...basic fixed menu, unknown in advance, shared basic salad (not even any feta on Greek salad) and desert (usually free in Crete) and not really very good. Regular menu would have been cheaper with better options. No wifi sort of silly. Reception had to be called all 3 times, nobody staffing the office. Still, nice people, but not worth it based on other options.

Cute little apartment hotel near the beach, with a nice restaurant on the beach that belongs to the hotel. Great if you like the area and you would like to make trips to other beaches and attractions, too. The breakfast was however not great.

We are glad to have selected this hotel. It has a private quiet beach so easy access to swim anytime we want. The water was always calm and clear. Staff are excellent - very polite and helpful. We are very pleased with our room, which was clean with two balconies and there was unlimited supply of figs from the overhanging tree right inside our back balcony. We really can't find fault with this accommodation and wish we can come again.

Nice hotel steps away from the beach.
I enjoyed the location.Easy access to buses. Beautiful sunrise in the morning at the beach. Market on site for food and supplies. I like the kitchenette in the room for making my own breakfast and lunches. Sitting on the balcony in the courtyard in the evenings was lovely.

A Great Holiday at Ammoudara Beach
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 10 days at Ammoudara Beach Hotel & Appts. It was great value the service was excellent and the location was extremely good. The private beach, bar, restaurant and shop made everything so easy and relaxing. The whole complex is designed beautifully. We would stay here again and we do not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Incredible value, fantastic stay!
Our hotel/apartment was fantastic, clean and comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome. We had everything we could possibly need and for so cheap. Pool is lovely and clean but only used it once as the sea is just across a road, fantastic for early morning and evening swimming with a beautiful backdrop. Wi-Fi and air conditioning both work well and for no extra charge at all. Only thing we felt was odd was the wardrobes yet no hangers, however there is plenty of storage space and even a washing dryer just outside your door. Incredible value for money, great relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!

Nicht gefallen hat uns das der Wasserkasten im Bad tropfte und wir jede Nacht , wenn wir zur Toilette gingen , nasse Füsse hatten und die Fliessen dann rutschig waren . Obwohl wir an der Rezeption den Schaden gemeldet haben ist nichts geschehen .

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ben collegato, con parcheggio e di fronte a una spiaggia attrezzata, a pochi chilometri da Agios Nikolaos, località turistica molto rinomata. Nel complesso ci sono anche un bar, un ristorante e un supermercato. A meno di 4 chilometri si trova un supermercato Lidl dove si riforniscono anche le persone del posto. Le stanze hanno anche frigo, lavandino da cucina e un servizio piatti, posate, bicchieri.. Per cucinare solo una piastra elettrica; non so se altre stanze fossero attrezzate diversamente. Non l'abbiamo mai usata, ma il cucinotto è utile nel caso non si voglia uscire e si preferisca mangiare qualcosa acquistato. Ottima base per soggiorni nella parte orientale dell'isola.

Schönes Strandhotel nahe der Stadt. Zimmer unter den Weinlauben, Strand und gutes Restaurant über der Strasse. Ja und dann dieser Kaffee..

Nous étions dans une chambre rénovée depuis peu. Confortable et bien aménagée proche de la piscine. L’hotel est placée près d’une plage (juste la route à traverser pour s’y rendre). Le seul bémol est l’obligation de consommer pour utiliser les chaises longues sur la plage.

Fornuftigt hotel med god service
Udmærket hotel til prisen. Der er en swimmingpool på hotellet og en strand på den anden side af vejen. Vi var der kun en nat så vi fik ikke prøvet poolen eller stranden dog så begge dele rigtig fint ud. Personalet er hjælpsomt og imødekommende. Der var sket en fejl med vores bestilling så de havde ikke set at vi havde vores treårige datter med. De var dog rigtig søde og fik hurtig fundet en seng til hende. Der var trapper op til vores værelse, så hvis man er gangbesværet eller har barnevogn skal man huske at bestille et værelse i stueplan. Vi valgte at tilkøbe morgenmad, hvilket var rart så vi kunne køre videre mod Iraklion bagefter. Vi besøgte byen Agios Nikolaos den dag vi ankom. Byen ligger nogle kilometer væk fra hotellet så vi var glade for at have lejet en bil. I Agios Nikolaos ligger der mange butikker og hyggelige restauranter rundt om søen. Vi spiste en lækker middag på Piano Restaurant Migomis på en bakke med udsigt over søen, der var enda opvisning af folkedans på den anden side af søen og fyrværkeri til sidst. Normalt er det en rolig restaurant med live klavermusik og lækker mad i den dyre ende men stadigvæk billigere end tilsvarende i Danmark. Hotellet kan klart anbefales, ikke luksus men alt hvad man har brug for.

hôtel réserve pour 6 personnes (2 couples avec enfant 8 et 16 ans) répartis en deux chambres, on arrive le patron nous dit que nous avons juste réserve pour 4 adultes !! Donc il met dans nos chambres , un lit pliant pour les enfants !!! Sympa surtout qu on y reste 2 semaines, chambre tres petite et confort rudimentaire !! Petit dej decevant , la plage est de l autre cote de la rue, les restos sont bons .Mais au moment de rendre les cles, le patron nous a fait payer les petits dejeuner des enfants car pour lui ils n etaient pas compris alors que sur mon voucher il est bien noté 4 adultes et 2 enfants !! Une belle arnaque

Bella la struttura ma le camere non sono all'altezza. Le foto non corrispondono alla realtà, le stanze sono piccole e poco pulite (sembra si siano limitati a cambiare le lenzuola), il bagno è veramente minuscolo e non ha neppure il gancio per appendere la doccia. Rapporto qualità prezzo inadeguato. Non all'altezza dell'ospitalità e cordialità greca che abbiamo trovato in tutti gli altri alloggi a creta.

Ευχαριστούμε πολύ για τις παρατηρήσεις σας. Μείνατε μόνο 1 βραδιά στο Ammoudara Beach και δεν προλάβατε να ζήσετε τις μαγικές στιγμές που προσφέρουμε στους πελάτες μας. Είμαστε ένα ξενοδοχείο που απευθύνεται σε οικογένειες με μοναδικές παροχές και διαμερίσματα των οποίων η αξία είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερη από την κατηγορία που ανήκουμε. Πάντως να ξέρετε ότι πάντα έχουμε την καλύτερη διάθεση για εξυπηρέτηση, που μάλλον εσείς δεν την είχατε όταν κάνατε αυτό το σχόλιο για εμάς.-

Une étape restaurant incontestablement excellente
Un concept intéressant et malgré une volonté commerciale de bien faire, l'emplacement de la partie hôtellerie et piscine est très médiocre. Ce n'est pas du tout en bord de mer, mais de l'autre côté de la route effectivement face à lamer mais sans vue. Au contraire, environnement de chantiers inachevés et aménagements plutôt bricolés. En revanche une prestation de restauration exceptionnelle aussi bien au niveau de la qualité , de l'originalité et du service. L'endroit également du restaurant en bordure de plage est à recommander.

Fantastisk beliggenhed.
Det er tredie gang, at vi opholder os på hotellet. Vi nyder at ligge og slappe af på hotellets liggestole under parasoller ved havet på Kretas bedste strand.

Nous recommandons vivement !!
Nous y avons passé un séjour de rêve! Hotel a taille humaine parfaitement bien tenu! La piscine est très agréable et rarement occupée par les autres clients. La plage est en face, une supérette est devant l hotel, le restaurant vue mer de l hotel est d'excellente qualité et les prix sont très abordables! Nous y mangions tous les jours. Si vous n avez pas de voiture le trajet en taxi est de 9 euros pour aller à Agios. Nous avons rarement eu un aussi bon rapport qualité prix.
