Friendly staff, great amenities, perfect location!

Nothing bad to say about this resort. Upon arrival, we were upgraded from a Ocean View Suite to the Ocean View Suite with Private Swimming Pool at no additional charge. The Greek hospitality was immediately recognizable. They gave us a free massage, bottle of wine and water, fruit basket and another free bottle of wine coupon to be used with dinner at the resort. The room was spacious with new amenities. The dinner restaurant was a buffet that cost 25 euro p/p. I would say that may have been the only downfall to the resort as the buffet was GOOD but not GREAT. We only ate there one time because we prefer to experience the local dinning options. I would say the resort did a GREAT job offering many food options while catering to large crowd. The breakfast buffet was included with our room. It was also just GOOD but not GREAT. They had a lot of food options and convenience of it being at the resort for early starts was GREAT. For local dinning options, definitely check out the restaurant at the lake with multi-colored chairs. It is on the corner of the lake. The food and customer service was amazing. Three course dinner with drinks will cost you about 40 euro. The Piano Restaurant on top of the hill overlooking the lake is also excellent but formal. The same will cost you 100 euro. The resort shoots off fireworks as the "surprise" at the staff introduction night which I believe was Wed. during our stay. This was a 5/5 stay for me. I hope this was helpful.

Pleasant hotel rather than outstanding

Pros: Location
Cons: faulty swipe cards
Location: wonderful views and very peaceful
A decent hotel with some very good bits but not really 5*. The location was wonderful. The public areas were generally good and the pools nice to look at and clean but rather cold.. The room was fine but the bath was too small and the shower just an attachment to the bath. The main problem was that the swipe cards hardly ever worked first time, nor did the replacement cards supplied by staff, so clearly there was a problem with the sensor unit. Small signs of less than perfect maintenance such as a broken handle to the main door into the lobby and some cracked plaster in our bathroom. The rooms were otherwise clean and well furnished. Once the cleaner did not replace a dirty coffee cup. There looked to be a staff shortage. In the dining room nobody checked our room number at breakfast and, on the two occasions when we dined there we had to annouce that we were b & b only and request the meal deal: that said, when we did, staff served us immediately and with good grace. I was a bit suprised to find in a hotel of this rank that the dinner was a buffet: I would have expected an a la carte alternative - perhaps we just missed this. The food was varied but not very exciting at dinner but breakfast was good. The beach was nice but small and some of the loungers were uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A quality hotel with wonderful staff who are friendly and very accommodating. The food was superb throughout my stay and the a la carte reataurant a must. The one reservation I have is about the shaley beach area which could do witha quantity of good sand being deposited. This would not stop me returning tomorrow if I could.Other supposedly 5 star hotels in the area are left trailing in the Minos Palace wake.

A EVITER !!!

Emplacement superbe, dominant Agios Nikolaos. Chambre grande avec belle terrasse et vue mer (propreté moyenne: ménage vite fait). Nourriture excellente avec un très grand choix au buffet (matin et soir). Espaces extérieurs de l'hôtel superbes.
