Definitely not a 4 star property

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Cons: This property has potential if there was some outlay on repairs and maintenance
The property lacked the basics. We found the heating was inadequate. The Internet didn't work. The toilet leaked and smelt. Not a pleasant experience.

Not Impressed

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Location: Location is awful. There is no way to walk anywhere, it cost 50 euros to take a taxi to Florence.
We stayed in the apartments. The first apartment was dirty, front door did not lock, sofa bed was broke and showed would change from Hot to Cold and back to Hot without touching the nob. My 3 year old screamed from the hot water, not enough to leave permanent damage, thank god, but enough to make him not want to shower again. The apartments were so dusty my daughters allergies were out of control and she barely slept.

Beautiful hotel in Tuscany hills

Posted Sep 3, 2016
Lovely stay for 4 nights the pools were excellent and hotel room very clean with daily housekeeping. The food and wine in restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced. Wild boar pasta and pizzas a must! If you don't have a car you can book taxis through the hotel 15 euro to get to train station to Florence - don't try to walk it and 150 euros each way for transfer from Pisa airport. Blissful hotel in the countryside perfect for relaxing and heading into Florence for day trips. Will definitely head back again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, quality satisfactory compared to price

Posted May 7, 2016
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Renovation especially for bathroom
Location: Nothing to do nearby, the nearest restaurant/pharmacy was 3 km away.
Hotel was nice satisfactory compared to price. It was situated on a hill u definitely need a car to reach it. It is more like Chalet where u get a separate room. Room was clean, bathroom needed more cleaning but it was good. Staff were very nice and breakfast was great. The 2 downsides of this hotel were its location is far from florence ( 30mins by car), and the room condition that it was old and in need of renovation especially the bathroom. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Maybe 3 star hotel describes it better.

nice hotel cuddled in the hills

Posted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: Staff, proximity to Florence, nature
Cons: AC - not very effective and noisy
Location: Florence, Pisa, local trekking
This is an excellent place just about 20 minutes (train ride) from Florence. The location is a nice balance of comfort and proximity for florence attractions. The hotel staff is excellent , very accommodating, helpful and eager to help. The charm of a country hotel is surely present, the hills presents a majestic view , also two swimming pools offer the perfect relaxation. Breakfast provided is just about ok.

Supposed to be a four star but definitely NOT

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Location: NOT A LOT
This hotel is billed as four star, it fell short on multiple counts from the Italian definition of four stars. 1. No one to help carry the bags. 2. No Laundry service just a do it your self room, we only had a couple of days so did not want to waste time. 3. The staff do not ware uniforms. 4. There was no hair dryer in the room. Other problems was it was listed as a tranquil location but one night the Restaurant which is a different company, has a party going on with loud music until the early hours, which totally ruined my trip as I was getting up early to take sunrise photos, which having not slept was impossible! Do not stay here...... it is a con.
