I am very particular and hardly ever go without finding a flaw with a property- I cannot say this for Hotel Aurora and our stay. Everything was exceptional!! From breakfast, to the staff, to the room- everything was PERFECT!! I would not only stay here again, but I would recommend it to anyone traveling in the direction of Sperlonga- in fact, I would tell them to go out of their way to stay at Hotel Aurora- that’s how good our trip was. Thank you all.

Beautiful hotel. The staff, from front desk to dining service to lifeguards, were all lovely, helpful and sweet. Gorgeous outdoor setting with flowing plants and flowers. Swimming was perfect.

The hotel is right on the beach, with a wonderful view over the sea and the city of Sperlonga on the rocks. A rich breakfast takes place every day in this scenario. Parking as well a spot on the private beach are included. Amazing!

We stayed here in mid-May and it wasn’t very busy. It’s a beautiful property right on the water with gorgeous views. There were a lot of courtyards with beautiful gardens/plants. Breakfast, which was included, was a buffet with a good variety of options. Wait staff were very polite and attentive. Old Town is a must see when you visit. A little cool when we were here so we didn’t spend time at the pool or beach. Beautiful hotel and surroundings.

Hotel Aurora is the place to be in Sperlonga. It is located in the most scenic part of the seafront, with great views of the Torre, the old city and the sea. The hotel staff made everything easy and relaxing for us

This family run hotel is probably the nicest one we have stayed in. Its location is fantastic, at the heart of the resort, right on the beach where the hotel has its own section with sunbeds and lifeguard on duty. It is a short walk up to the delightful old town, and is close to a really interesting museum. The owner has wonderful taste, and the interior of the hotel and the garden are beautiful, filled with lovely artwork wherever you look. It has a very personal feel, a relaxed atmosphere, lovely breakfast and lunch. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is super clean too. Definitely a very special place, we will be back.

The location of this hotel is perfect. On the beach, view of Sperlonga, easy walk into historic centre. The common spaces are lovely and terrace stunning. The rooms are small and bathrooms even smaller. But the views are gorgeous and for just two nights it was perfect.

Overall, really nice service and the grounds were very beautiful but the room could use some upgrades. The shower reminded me of those teeny tiny showers on cruise ships (where the floor of the shower is the actual bathroom floor). But overall, pleasant stay.

Surprising Sperlonga.
The Hotel Aurora was the perfect place to spend a few days on the coast south of Rome. Excellent service, nicely appointed room and friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely and spending a few hours outside for lunch and cocktails was lovely. I would love to stay again in the future. Sperlonga is worth a stop!

Great place to stay in Sperlonga.
The hotel is welcoming. It is right on the beach with umbrellas and beach lounges for guests. There is parking the hotel is not new, but very cool. The staff are great. Breakfast buffet is good. Most guests appear to be European. There are beautiful garden patios, a deck overlooking the ocean where we have appetitive each night. You can walk to the Tiberius villa ruins and museum from the hotel, about a thirty minute walk from the hotel.

Wonderful stay
Can't believe this is only a 3 star hotel - maybe because the restaurant isn't open for dinner or it has no swimming pool (it has the beach and a good choice of restaurants on its doorstep). It is beautifully designed, maintained, furnished and decorated and the location is the best possible in Sperlonga. Any negatives? The french windows are single glazed so you have to be happy with some sound of the waves (helped me sleep!) The walls are not very soundproof - next door's television news at 7.00am was a bit early for me on holiday! The bathroom could be a few inches bigger (but is well equipped). Nothing to put me off going back, which I very much hope to.

Lovely Hotel, Great location!
This is our 3rd stay at Hotel Aurora. First of all, we LOVE Sperlonga during the early fall, ... the warm water, the sun, the fact that it's less crowded. The Hotel Aurora is lovely, the staff is helpful, and breakfast is varied and very good. You can just walk outside the hotel, and you're there on the beach -- So convenient!

Nice hotel close to beach and centre of town
We spent nine days in Hotel Aurora in September and we had a very pleasant, relaxing time. This was our second stay at the Aurora and it fully lived up to our expectations. The hotel is in a superb location beside the beach and sunbeds are allocated to you for the duration of your stay. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There is a good choice of cereals, fruit, meats, cakes, etc. for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Sperlonga has an attractive old town and there are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and in the old town, which is a 10 minute walk away. Visitors to the the town are mainly Italian and the number of English speaking staff in shops and restaurants is limited. We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Aurora and we look forward to returning in the future.

Quaint little european hotel in a nice little town south of Rome. I went for just a couple days to get away before spending a week in Rome. Only advice would be to skip the restaurants the hotel recommends. They weren't the best.

This is a beautiful hotel right on a gorgeous beach. The terraces off some rooms are just beautiful! There is a wide selection of food served for the breakfast in a beautiful room. The staff was very helpful. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

The hotel was a disappointment.
We booked the hotel based on the fotos on the internet showing only rooms with beach view - that was the reason why we were prepared to pay a price for which you can easily stay at a nice five star hotel (170 EUR in mid season). When we arrived, it turned out that we were placed in a room with a balcony facing the parking lot, with a smell of fried fish and noise of the bars/street nearby, even after midnight. When complaining, we were told that the hotel was fully booked. Only the next day, we were transferred to another room indeed with a nice sea view. When checking out, we asked for a meaningful rebate, but were only given a discount of 12,50 per day.

This hotel has the best location in sperlonga.
We stayed in August when sperlonga is very busy. The hotel was a wonderful oasis Of calm. The drinks service on the beach was great and something you do not find in other places in Italy. Lunch time food was excellent and good value. Staff were great. All in all somewhere we would definitely return to.

Stayed for 3 nights at the start of our 2 weeks in Italy and one night at the end. Both times had a room overlooking the stunning Parthenon. First stay our room and bathroom was a little dated and tired, however we had an upgrade on our second visit and as well as being bigger it had been updated to an excellent standard. Hopefully all of the rooms will eventually match this one. The staff were superb throughout the hotel, the concierges particularly droll. All in all a cracking hotel in a brilliantly central location.

Great three nights
Lovely hotel right on the beech. Beech is nice sand with no rocks. Sperlonga is a quainte little place comprising the old part up on the hill full of narrow windy passages and then the piazza and beech front at its base. Note if approaching by road from Rome, take 2nd turn off marked 'Centro' as access road to hotel is one-way, accessed from the Naples end.

The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach and at the foot of the old town. Our room was lovely, with a Juliet balcony looking straight out to sea. The breakfast was great and the hotel staff made us feel very welcome. The town lovely and is perfect for a relaxing break, just an hour or so south of Rome and there are plenty of lovely restaurants very close to the hotel. Just wish we had booked a longer stay.

The hotel is nicely located on the sea. It has a wonderful garden mainly in the shadow also during the day. Breakfast is good quality and varied. The room was large enough to accomodate 3 people. Air conditioning was available but unfortunately it was switched off by the hotel managers over night and partially in the morning.

Hotel Aurora "My Happy Place"
We had originally reserved for 5 nights but were so relaxed and pleased with the hotel, hotel staff, and beach that we extended out 3 more nights. The room we were in was on the beach side with a lovely balcony. You could hear the sea which was very relaxing. The beach is amazing. You can walk out about 30 meters and still not be completely under water. The beach is clean. The hotel offers a "snack" during lunch hours but the snack size could very well be lunch! It was amazing. The staff was very helpful, from the front desk, the waiters at breakfast, the bartender (Wilson), and the ladies who cleaned the room. The hotel is walking distance to Old Sperlonga and there are tons of good restaurants on the main road.

Great stay at Aurora
Had a fantastic few days at this lovely hotel right on the beachfront. We found all staff really friendly and always helpful. There was a good choice at breakfast, had the best cup of tea here since my 10 days in Italy! Room was large, clean and very comfortable (garden view with balcony). The garden is so well kept with an inviting smell of flowers, it is a tranquil little sun trap (in May), where you can relax with a drink and a book or chat with your company. The beach is gorgeous as is this part of Sperlonga, the hotel provide sun loungers on their private section and a lifeguard was about every day. We felt the magic of Sperlonga is in the old town (good mobility essential for exploring the intriguing steps, nooks, crannies and alleyways of the old town). Some nice restaurants are at the top near the square and a decent bar too where tourists and locals are both welcome.

If you want a few days to relax
We had spent a few hectic days in Rome prior to our visit, so this just filled the bill and only an hour away by train. Right on the beach, with great sun beds and brollies; access to all restaurant and shops was easy - the hill top town was an added bonus. Don't miss the Archeology Museum, definitely worth a visit. All-in-all a great time was spent at the Aurora and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - speaking some English (and in some cases very good English) was a definite bous.

Special resort perfect hotel
Sperlonga is an upmarket Italian resort with few Brits all we could want was on the doorstep with Rome one hour and a half away by train. Many other sight and places of interest close by if you have a car. It was the perfect rest after four days in Rome. Maybe a little pricey but worth it as you're on holiday will return for sure.

Cold water on my vacation
This hotel is in a lovely spot, and has a fantastic view, lovely bar area, and direct access to a long white sandy beach. Unfortunately, though, at least one of the staff was clearly not happy to work with tourists, our room was exposed to a lot of street noise until 3 a.m. and the shower in the morning was ice cold. I would go back to the town, but would choose a different hotel next time.
