Perfect location, 2 mins walk to the beach, 5 mins walk to the main dining area. Very cute Mexico style small hotel. Great heated swimming pool. Love everything of it!

Hi C; Thanks for mentioning our pool. Our guests love our toasty warm swimming pool. We always heat it to 88 degrees, which is wonderful! Also, the Blue Seas Courtyard is excellently located on El Mar Drive - just across from the beautiful beach. El Mar Drive is the place to be in Lauderdale by the Sea!

We had s great time it was relaxing and quiet just like we wanted, It would of been a perfect vacation if we were on the first floor near the pool because of my bad knees it was painful for me . Next time I will ask for the first floor. Thank you .

This hotel is fabulous!

Posted Feb 21, 2018
Pros: The hotel is quaint, clean and has such character! The property had wonderful landscape, lighting and artistic flare. Beds and pillows were wonderful
Cons: If more availability! There are only 12 units.
Location: Two-three blocks from downtown. The downtown area was hopping every night, live music in the streets, a farmers market and yoga in park on the beach.
The hotel is quaint, clean and has such character! The special touches such as the tile picture/scenes, beautiful potted flowers, individual light fixtures outside each door and around the property, the inside where the etching around the room, and tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, truly gave you the feeling of being in Mexico. The bathroom was spotless and just renovated. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and bikes were included at no extra charge. The pillows and pillow top bed was incredibly comfortable. The kitchen also looked like is was just renovated. The cabinets and countertop along with the faucet and tiles around were beautiful and upgraded from most hotels I've stayed in. The air conditioner was quiet, which made for sleeping easily. This place is a charming property, I would recommend this to any couple.

So cozy and only 50 steps from the beach.

Pros: Everything
Location: Walk across the street to the beach. Within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Or relax in the courtyard of the motel.
From the moment we checked in until the time we left, the hospitality was warm and cozy. The minute we stepped into our room, we could tell that a lot of love and care had gone into the furnishing and décor. It was a nice change from staying in a major chain. The owners are on the premises and take great pride in providing their guests the best experience down to providing beach chairs, bicycles, laundry, etc. The king bed was so comfy and everything was so clean. Good water pressure in the shower, and a well equipped kitchenette. An altogether great place to kick back.

Thank you Lindy; So often when a guest discovers our quaint little seaside village of Lauderdale by the Sea...they return again and again. We have kept the towering condos out and preserved the original boutique inns and resorts that make it so delightful and charming here!

Charming, Quiet, Safe, Ideal Location!

Posted Jan 27, 2018
Pros: The staff, location, colorful, whimsical decor and beach a few minutes walk away.
Cons: Having brighter lighter in the main room, especially bedside for reading, knitting and crocheting would be a plus.
Location: A short walk to shops and restaurants and the pier. Have to admit I visited Kirwins Ice Cream shop more than once and even twice on the same day.
I had the most wonderful 10 day trip to Lauderdale By The Sea and enjoyed every moment at Blue Seas Courtyard. The property is just as pictured on their webpage. Full of color and charm and adorable pottery, murals, a gorgeous pool, beach chairs and umbrellas for guests use and more. My room was clean, safe, whimsical and fully equipped with a king size bed, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and all of the utensils needed. I especially loved my "private patio" with it's table for 2, pottery, flower pots, full sun and bright white privacy screen. The location is ideal ~ a short walk to the beach through the park, a few blocks from downtown with many shops and restaurants and the pier with Adirondack chairs for sitting and lots of people walking their dogs who were kind enough to let me pat them. The other direction a few blocks away there was a Publix Supermarket, Dollar Tree, CVS, restaurants and a great little Boutique for shopping. The weather was ideal for me. Being from New England I'm built tough like a Ford Truck so while most of the locals were in sweatshirts and hats on the beach I was very comfy in my two piece bathing suit Ha! Ha! My favorite part was my 2 1/2 hour walk every day and Free Dance Lessons on the pier.

Colourful and clean

Posted Jan 10, 2018 on Hotels
Clean and close to beach and local businesses/restaurants. Colourful setting and matched previous ratings well. Pool-area a bit crowded and unfortunately smoking allowed in all pool-area. Wi-Fi very unstable and only worked in part of our hacienda.

Thank you for your review and ways we can improve! We do allow guests to smoke outside directly in front of their rooms at private little cafe tables - but not at shared patio tables and the pool area. We had hoped this would not bother non-smoking guests but we will definitely re-consider based on your review! Best wishes,

Great location!

Highly recommend this little treasure. We were there a week before Christmas 2017. We found it to be clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff and quiet location. Though we didn't need a full kitchen, it was nice to have. Just wish we'd thought to bring coffee for the maker.

I agree...finding a cozy boutique hotel right next to the beach can be like discovering treasure! That's us! Our first time guests often remark that the Hacienda is even better than they hoped for! p.s. I will work on providing either a morning coffee area for guests or individual coffee set-ups in room kitchens.

Beautiful little place.

Pros: The quirkyness and location, makes a change from the usual generic hotel room,
Cons: Was all good for me.
Location: Right across from the beach. LBTS is easy to navigate and has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
Rooms are spotless, bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, hotel staff very friendly and helpful. One street away from the beach and 5 minutes walk to bars & restaurants. Excellent location overall. We stayed in one of the 3 first floor rooms which in my option offered a little more privacy, some of the rooms are right by the pool side which would be ideal for children or people with mobility issues. I would definitely go back. 10 out of 10!

Pros: Mexican art, pool with palm trees. comfy big room, great location and really nice owners.
Location: great location close to beach and restaurants. Went to Bonnet House and thought it fascinating. Took a water taxi on river to see mansions .
owners were very friendly and engaged. Very cute and artsy hotel. we stayed on second floor where we could see the ocean. Cross a small, not busy road and one block to beach. Room was big with a kitchen.Bed was very comfortable. loved the pool surrounded by palm trees. Very good restaurants in Lauderdale-by-the-sea. Would definitely stay here again. Go to Bonnet House for something to do.
