not what i thought

when we arrived and checked in, room was old, beds on the floor (very low), tv was old, no reception. no wifi available. very, very disappointing place to stay.

Going through remodeling and the actual casino was closed

the casino was closed because of losing gambling license. so nothing to actually do at the casino. rooms are dis attached so you have to go outside to get to your room

The Pioneer is under new ownership, they didn't lose the license, it is the process of being transfered to Laughlin. The Casino will be open in a very short time.

Rude Employee at Registration Desk

The female employee at the registration desk was the rudest and most unprofessional employee that I have ever encountered.

One bed was broken. Floor was dirty. Same chairs for last 5years very uncomfortable. We stay there because we have 2 small dogs

Nice location with a river walk to other Casinos Older motel but nice location

Room was more discomforting than a motel 6 and super 8. No microwave, no mini fridge, no blow dryer, & Wifi password was not giving to us.

Accepts Large Dogs Where Others Won't

Traveling with our 60lb Cattle Dog and the Pioneer was the only hotel/casino that accepts larger dogs. Was apprehensive due to the low rated reviews but went for it anyways. Our water front ground room (tiled floor) was dated but clean. Yes the TV was the tube type so if wanting flat screen 4k UHD may have to go elsewhere. Out the door was a grass area for pets. Also has a nice sandy beach area to go into the water...our dog loved it. Staff and Security was friendly and helpful. Great value and pet friendly hotel/casino. Will be staying there again.
