Hard working staff at front desk who clearly multi tasks brilliantly. All our bags were delivered to the rooms prior to our check in. Convenient bag hold system for guests staying at the start and end of a multi day hike. Convenient walking distance to the shops, restaurants and sightseeing. We will be back.

Very quaint and interesting hotel in a good location. However, it is very noisy as it is located on the corner of two busy roads. No double glazing so take your ear plugs. Shower cubicle miniscule but plenty of hot water.

The small room felt oppressive with so much dark decor in a room with one small window.Furnishings were opulent but too dour for such a small place. No streaming service, and very little television reception. After travelling all day one wishes to unwind, not necessarily contemplate busy artworks, in a blue room. Overall it seemed ungenerous; I had to go looking for the soap, and other necessities, under the sink away from view, (one small piece for two to share, no shower wash). Fussy, but unwelcoming.

They did not accept my booking from your website, asked me to pay again for the room again but this time pay much more, it was after hours checking due to flight cancelled ,they kept me for more than 2 hours until 11 pm behind the closed door, I did not have any choice, I did pay again. Why you did not answer my complaint , don’t you have any responsibility for your customer?!

Great location to the centre of town. Easy walk to many restaurants and cafes. Neat, clean and although on a busy-ish corner, the traffic noise wasn’t an issue and I’m a very light sleeper. My only negative would be supplying a plug for the bathroom sink. Just for shaving so that I not wasting heaps of water. But, that’s a really minor issue.

Problem Solved
Check in was effortless, friendly and informative. After settling in and sleeping before an evening out I decided to put some heating on in the room, however could not get the heating unit to work. Contacted reception manager Tony who thought the problem might just be remote needing battery change so changed battery but still no success. After trying multiple things Tony offered to change my room or if I did not want that he would bring in a portable column heater. I asked for the column heater which Tony brought in quickly, however that wouldn’t work either. After trying another heater it appeared the power outlets were not working on that side of the room after some recent electrical work. Finally Tony brought in the heater from his own office and we were able to get it working on the other side of the room. I can only say that despite the heating difficulty Tony was an absolute legend and very determined that I would be warm and comfortable for my stay. Once back from my evening out I had a warm, comfortable and quiet sleep. Many thanks to Tony for being such a patient, helpful and persistent person.

Veery boutique small hotel but has quirky interior design making it an interesting place to stay. It is easy to locate and convenient to walk to the CBD and other tourist attractions near by such as the Gorge walk and Penny Royal.

The Art Hotel is the old Bakery in Launceston. We have stayed there many times over the last decade. It is lovely, the rooms have an historic quality to them and the place is pure fun. We always stay in the stable room it is magic! You can walk to many enjoyable eateries, food courts, cafes and shopping. There also is the cataract gorge walk, the art gallery museum and several historic sites as well. Whether you are passing through or you use this place as a northern base the Art Hotel is the place to stay!

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy with a cosy feel, and a but of old world charm. The hotel is walking distance from the city centre and easy to find.

The tile floor could be a bit cold but it was a pleasantly quirky place to stay. Car parking was good and many restaurants within walking distance as was the Mall.

After spending some time in the room, me and my partner found out on our way out that the room lock wasn’t working. We luckily found the person on site who unfortunately wasn’t able to fix it either, being a weekend she had to wait for the next day as well. Me and my partner left for the event and when we came back the staff was there(past her working hours) and had upgraded us to the king suite without asking. We really appreciated her concern towards our safety, even when it was just a night’s stay. The hotel has an old vintage style vibe, a personal liking.
