"Great place to stay"

"This was a perfect place for our weekend trip to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Everything was very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and would stay here again."

"The room was very nice and clean! We had a king size bed with a gas fireplace. Very nice touch!! Loved it!"

"It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The back door was not locked, when I asked if it would be locked I was told “it should be locked but someone may have out a pebble in it”. If that’s a common occurrence, shouldn’t security be put in place to try and prevent/deter people from ‘propping’ the door open?"

"To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about my upcoming stay after reading a few of the reviews. To start, when we entered the hotel there was a slightly musty smell, but in all fairness, it was pouring outside and there was a wet floor sign posted. We were quickly and pleasantly greeted by the guy behind the desk. I believe his name was Alex. Check- in was quick and easy. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. The halfway was clean with no smell at all. When we arrived at our rooms they were directly across from each other as I had requested. Upon entering the room, it was updated, immaculate, and no smell whatsoever. No bugs either!! Very pleased with both rooms. We walked to two different places to eat each night. Park Place Sports Bar for burgers. The food (burgers) was good. The Irish Pub the next night. The food there was excellent! Both places were within walking distance. We did see a couple of shady characters on the way, but they were hanging out in front of a bar. Overall, great experience and would definitely stay here again!!"

"We needed a hotel for the solar eclipse that had a lawn with a western sky view. We found the Lake House that had that with a view over the lake as well, so we stayed for the eclipse that worked out perfectly. We had one pair of glasses that was defective but they lent us a welding mask that worked perfectly. The room was lake side and had a kitchen in the common area as well as a gas fireplace. We also had a dog that was welcome as well in our room. We liked the cleanliness, staff and every thing worked as it should and we highly recommend the Lake House."
