“Beware!! Do not rent this accommodation with VRBO. This is not a legitimate listing on here. We were scammed!!! We turned up and the managers knew nothing about our booking and had never used VRBO to rent it and it already had a long standing tenant there. It was a nightmare for us having to find alternative accommodation late at night after spending the whole day travelling there. It was a further nightmare trying to get the money back.”

“Lovely house situated in a very quiet area. Property was very clean and comfortable, well maintained with good furniture. Plenty of parking area. The swimming pool is great and kept clean with the owner working hard to keep it that way. Unfortunately, poor weather in September meant that we could not take a dip very often but we could relax outside. The pool table in the lounge was very inviting and well-used in the evenings. “We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us……
