Small town friendly with a great view!

The staff were very accommodating and genuinely friendly. The inn is clean, welcoming and the view out of the room was amazing.

No one was there to check us in.

Posted Dec 10, 2017
We arrived at the hotel at around 10:30 pm, the website says the latest you can check in is midnight but no one was at the hotel at all. We called the number provided multiple times to no avail.

Staff

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Cons: See comment above, about check-in procedures and total absence of staff
Room key was in an envelope addressed to me, but no staff present upon check-in at 9PM - anybody could have picked-up that envelope. On check-out, the only words spoken by an attendant when I checked out and returned the key was a brief thank you.

Hi Martin We are a small family run inn. We always leave keys in the envelope after 6pm. We have never had an issue and majority of our guest love the small inn trust factor. Thank you for your feed back!

Great place!

Posted Nov 27, 2017
Pros: The overall appearance of the Inn, the nautical theme and the view from our window.
Cons: I wouldn't say it is a fault, but I would prefer to drink my coffee from a mug instead of styrofoam.
Location: Since your restaurant wasn't open, we went for breakfast at Gaspard's Cafe, which we enjoyed, then walked around the waterfront to wear it off!
We had the room with the rounded window, on the second floor....it was lovely, the gas fireplace very welcoming when we arrived. And the VIEW, was outstanding as we drank our morning coffee. It's a shame it was off season, we would have loved to try the restaurant and patio. The nautical flavour of the facility is carried out well. In all, everything we could have wished for in a quaint inn. I didn't rate the staff well because we didn't see anyone, although someone was available had we needed assistance. Thank you Seacliffe!

OK! Good location

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Pros: It was clean, good bed, really good shower pressure and the location.
Cons: A little more care and maintenance.
We arrive by supper time, no one at the front desk, just envelopes lined up for all the arrivals, with keys in them. The room was very clean, but the maintenance needs looking at and investing in. First, no hand soap, one bedside light wouldn't work, bathroom fan was extremely noisy, and no towel rods for hanging the towels. Also, the restaurant was closed for reno.

Great location. Right on the water.

Pros: Location, cute.
Cons: Availability of staff
Location: Wineries, distilleries, parks
Alarm clock going off at midnight in room next door two nights in a row could be heard in our room. Took twenty minutes to get someone to turn it off. No staff on duty. Second night that was followed by a fire alarm going off at 2 am. Took a while for fire trucks to come and give an all clear. Guests were outside for about an hour. Again no staff. If you check in later in the day your keys are left in an envelope on the counter with your name on the envelope. TV didn't work in one room so moved to another room on the second day. Hotel is in a great location and is really cute. Not sure what's going on with lack of staff.

A one night review

Posted Oct 19, 2017 on Hotels
This was my second stay here and was for business. Quaint hotel, great location. Not really impressed with the room though. None of the lamps were plugged in, the coffee maker was in an area were there was no plug. I did find a short extension cord and was able to plug it in. It was like the room was renovated and not completely put back together. Also a 1rst floor room at an exit. Something I normally do not like. Tried to change it but front desk was empty so accepted it as it was only one night. Will stay there again. Great location.
