Lovely hotel, close to the city

Pros: Everything
Lovely big room, with a massive comfy bed, perfect for a night away. Good breakfast, although some of it was not very hot.

Well located, but lacking electrical safety

Good hotel for facilities. Unfortunately it seems there is little checking and maintenance on electrical equipment in the rooms. On our arrival had issues getting faulty equipment replaced and appliance labels said the equipment in the room had not been appliance tested for nearly four years!. Management didn't seem interested this was a problem either.

We have checked with our Chief Engineer and he has confirmed that all our appliances are checked annually and a label is placed on the equipment, the chances are that the most up to date label has been removed from the appliance. Couple hotel break

Checkin was speedy. Reception staff was all well presented and well manored. First impression was really good. Room was spacious and clean. Very pleased with our stay.

Great hotel with caveats

Pros - Clean (ish), new, friendly staff, spacious rooms. Cons - Bar can get busy in the evenings, housekeeping left a couple of half empty glasses in the room rather than remove them.

Pleasing contemporary hotel convenient for M1

Pros: Easy to use, a coherent brand image, staff well trained.
Cons: Would have been better if my TV had not announced 'welcome Khan', whoever he was. There is no pedestrian pathway for safe access from the car park.
Location: Convenient for M11
Smart decor, good size room, high quality fixtures and fittings. Quiet with a room facing the atrium rather than outside. Food quality was poor and didn't match the rest of the standard of the hotel. Dinner menu is restricted to pub cliches like fish and chips, the ubiquitous three sausages and steaks. My fish was tasteless. The cooked breakfast was not up to the standard of cheaper Premier Inn.

stayed here on the night of our wedding and it was only okay. They did put a rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed for us but they actual service was poor and no little additional extras. The fridge wasn't even stocked !!! I have stayed at the Marriott in London and Philadelphia and expected more if I am honest.
